This hotel was truely awful, we moved out after one night of no sleep, it was very noisy, and now way worth the money £104 a night..

Very nice and small hotel. We found it as the best price/quality in Santa Teresa di Gallura. Clean rooms, good service, we liked it a lot.

The hotel was perfectly located for local restaurants and the beach. It was very clean and the staff were very helpful. The only improvement would be safety boxes in the rooms for valuables.

Enjoyed our stay very much. We only stayed for 1 night but could have stayed longer it was so nice. Great value for money. The breakfast was very good, did not expect such a good variety. The weather was very hot while we we there so it was great to find a fridge in the bedroom to keep our drinks cold. Good size bathroom. Air conditioning worked well. Good car park. Hotel in good position. Hope to return one day.

Good clean hotel. Value for money. Out of season, very little going on in town but with a car there are plenty of beautiful coastline to explore, especially the Emerald coast. The Da Thomas restaurant in the next street down from the hotel was very good.

L'Ancora was a nice family run hotel/bed and breakfast. They went out of their way to make our stay more enjoyable. If you are flying into Olbia, you should plan to rent a car as the journey is around 1 hour. We took a cab and the cab driver from the airport over charged--it was 130 euro to the hotel but only 100 euro back using the cab company our hotel called for us. Santa Teresa was a nice town. We enjoyed it, it would have been nice to know ahead of time that the majority of places in the town are closed from October through Easter. Overall, It was nice, clean and welcoming. We arrived late our first night and the manager called all the local restaurants he could to try and find something open for us. He even drove out to meet our lost cab driver to show him the way to the hotel. Very kind and welcoming family who run the hotel that made us feel very welcome.

The owner and his daughter speak very good english and were helpful, but seemed a little uninterested. The hotel is in a quiet residential part of the town, but is close to everywhere. A mix of chance and local help enabled us to find the hotel due to the lack of map provided, but is straightforward once you know how.

THis is a great place to go to if you want to get away from it all in late September. It's nice and quiet at this time of year and this is reflected in the prices. Close enough by car to the Esmarelda Coast and a number of other smaller undeveloped beaches between Santa Teresa and Palau, it's a great location. Going out in Santa Teresa is limited by its size but we were happy to eat fantastic pasta with seafood at pizzerias at cheap prices, then go for a wander around the town before going back to the hotel. Apparently, it gets really crowded during mid-summer but at this time it's quiet enough to get a table straight away and warm enough to go on the beaces, though the sea is a bit on the cold side and you'll need a light jumper for the evenings. The hotel was fine. The room we had was smaller than the one we saw in the photograph but adequate all the same. Both it and the ensuite bathroom were kept very clean, though the shower had one of those curtains that sticks to your skin when you take a shower. THe service was, on the whole, good with no problems with money or getting things sorted out. The manager speaks good English, though a little on the reserved side. The breakfasts are buffet style with loads of choice. Salami and cheese is 1 Euro per person if you want it. We never bothered though being satisfied with the yoghurts, bread, jam and fruit available. I recommend it for its price and quality. For a 3-star you wouldn'e expect anything more.

The Hotel was OK. The service was kind and the room was good. Be careful only with the Restaurant suggested by the Hotel - they cook well but be very certain about the prices they charge you and the items included in the menus - if they can trick you, they will. The little town isn't very nice, but is a good departure point to take the boat to Corsica.

A nice cosy family-run hotel - unfortunately we arrived too late and left too early to appreciate everything in full, but their november prices are really excellent! On hearing that we had to leave to early for breakfast they pressed us to take some croissants and yoghurt along. Overall a very nice although rather brief stay. Tante grazie!

Slightly difficult to find the hotel as the maps we had were poor and we arrived during the siesta so there was no one to ask. The chap on the front desk wasn't the most friendly of people, but as English was not his first language I didn't have a problem with this. Breakfast was simple but very nice. There were cerals, bread and pastries. Tea, coffee, cappicinos and juice to drink. In addition to the information on the website, there was air conditioning in the rooms which was avaliable at an additional 5 Euros/night. The area was nice, with a good beach and several restaurants within walking distance. Boat trips were avaliable to nearby islands. One small word of warning to any English speaking tourists - English is not widely spoken in this town, I have a small understanding of Italian and was fine, but if your Italian is not so good I would definetely recommend a good phrase book. The only place I found it difficult was in restaurants where you weren't exactly sure what you were ordering - but I think this added to the fun of enjoying Italian food! Overall I would recommend this area and accommodation.

Venere web site indicated no private wc-bathroom while we have found room facilities (also frindge, haidrier). Good position in the city, near the center. Nice place. Good breakfast (european way). We are completely satisfied!
