Hotel L'Isola - Santa Marinella

We stayed 3 days at Hotel L'Isola after a week in Paris and prior to embarking on a cruise from Civitavecchia. It was an excellent stay in every respect. Our room had an outstanding view of the Mediterranean, and we spent a quiet, enjoyable break in the town. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms and facilities were spotless. Transportation from Fiumicino Airport in Rome is easy. Hotel L'Isola was great -- we told our travel agent about it, too.

L'Isola is a wonderful small hotel on the main square of this quaint little town in Italy. It is very clean and has a great breeze from the ocean. The staff does a wonderful job and good restaurants are steps away. The train station is only three blocks away.My wife and I really enjoyed this hotel and it's very professional staff. We would come back on a return trip and our experience with Venere.com was perfect. We used Venere for the second time and we were well pleased with the results..

A lovely little hotel with helpful friendly staff in a quaint Italian seaside resort.

The man on duty when we arrived in the evening spoke excellent English and was of great assistance in helping us locate some luggage that was misplaced at the Rome airport. It would have been very difficult to do this without his assistance.

The hotel has view on the see but still the price is a little high; no lift.

The first time we have stayed at Hotel L'isola but won't be the last! Absolutely brilliant experience. The owners could not have been more friendly and welcoming. They made us feel completely at home. The same goes for the restaurant next door where the owner was so helpful with explaining the dishes and having a laugh with us. Santa Marinella is a nice town where you can chill in the piazzas or on the beach or jump on a train into Rome very easily. Overall a really happy experience.

We were so pleased with L'Isola. The rooms, staff, breakfast all were excellent. We would be happy to refer others to the hotel. The clientele catered to are upscale.

Very pleasant staff. The town itself is disappointing. Obviously a summer beach town with few good restaurant options. Going to Civitavecchia proved worthwhile. The proprietors were very nice people.

The hotel was excellent, the reception staff was very helpful, the complimentary breakfast was very good, and the total hotel staff was very friendly. Coffee was even brought to our room before breakfast. We enjoyed the nearby restarants the arrival night and noon next day, & toured the port before our curise.

As we were only staying one night the hotel and surrounding area was absolutely wonderful. We wished we could have stayed longer to explore more but we had a cruise ship to catch. The driver of the shuttle was excellent and the staff came out to greet us and was quite happy to see us. We found excellent cafes and restaurants with-in easy walking distance and the piazza outside was a great place to sit and watch the world go by.

We stayed in L'Isola only one night on our way back from Tuscany to Rome Fiumicino Airport. We had a room on the upper floor with a beautiful ocean view. Close to the hotel was a small casual restaurant with nice food. We could park the car close to the hotel. Hotel staff was very gentle. So we would surely recommend L'Isola.

The staff was outstanding! Very warm an welcoming. Also very helpful with a problem we had at our last hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel. Great price and wonderful room and staff.

L'Isola was a perfect place to stay the extra night that Alitalia forced us to stay by canceling our flight. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the view out the window was amazing, and the breakfast was fabulous, especially for an Italian hotel! We would stay at L'Isola again.

A great place - after travelling for 26 hours we arrived at 11.30 p.m. and had the perfect room overlooking the Mediteranean and paplm trees. Only took 1/2 hour from Rome airport, and was a much better place to stay than going into the hub-bub of Rome. Little cafe next almost door caters to locals and provided us with two huge glasses of house red wine and a plate of cheese for 5 eurus. What a welcome to Italy. Breakfast was the best we had in Italy - so nice to be able to have capuccinos in a B&B. A rarety in Italy we were to discover. Rooms weren't huge and fairly sparsely furnished, but the bed was oh so comfy!

Excellent hotel with a great breakfast!

Perfect for a one night stopover after a long exhausting trip to Rome. The hotel does not have private parking - parking is very limited in the adjacent piazza and is not available at all on Wednesday nights - the market starts at 7AM on Thursdays in the piazza. We did find free parking not too far from the hotel but were a little peeved to have to search for a space after the exhausting journey. The hotel has no restaurant by there are plenty of choices in the piazza. Decent standard breakfast. Very attentive staff.
