Our stay at the Hotel Imperial far surpassed our expectations. Our room facing the Med.Sea was lovely and comfortable; the staff was gracious and helpful,and we enjoyed every minute while there. Santa Margherita is a wonderful little village with much to do..we actually enjoyed it more than Portofino!

Excellent stylish, venerable Hotel with lovely beachfront presence. Cinque Terre conveniently one hour away by nearby train Station.

Excellent hotel. This was a shorter stay than the first time, however both were just excellent. Hotel is in an excellent location, with private beach, the best around. The room faced the entrace and main road, however, we did not hear any noise. The staff at the reception were a little cold due to our arrival in not our best attire (we had a car accident on the way). They could have treated us a little better at the reception.

Hotel is truly superb and the room are grandiose- Hotel Perfectly located. My wife said best manicure/pedicure ever… I booked the hotel for two nights for my wed anniversary. The plane from London was delayed and got stuck in hotel at Airport… I missed my first night and with such short notice, they were going to charge us for the room. When we finally got there, the room was not ready, which I suspected they had managed to rent out for the night. They eventually broke the news and told us they would not charge us for it which allowed to stay an extra night- A nice Customer Service touch expected from a 5 stars complex. Only negative comment is the area around the beach/Pool area. This need a serious revamp as well as the pool restaurant staff …End of season maybe…but a smile could have done the trick- not quite in line with the standard of the hotel and the rest of the staff. I will definitely go back once they have tidy up the pool area.

Almost all were excellent except bathroom amenity, for example, slippers, lotion which we expected as this price.

In spite of a few mishaps with concierge services, in addition to an unexpected energy shortage at the hotel grounds on one night(surroundings OK), overall impression was favorable and we would definitely stay again at the Imperiale.

A gorgeous location atop a hill overlooking Santa Margherita Ligure's Mediterranean coast and only a few kilometers' drive from Portofino. Wonderful mansion-turned-resort hotel with spacious public rooms and an elegant breakfast. Our room was not particularly large, but the small balcony overlooking the Med made up for any lack of size.
