Mas Tapiolas is a beautiful hotel in very attractive surroundings with a great restaurant. We arrived just as they stopped serving food, but the chef stayed on for us which we really appreciated. The evening Check in and waitress were really friendly and welcoming. However, all that changed the next day. At breakfast, when I requested a cappucino, the waitress sighed and said "I'll have to make it now", our request to eat outside on the lovely terrace was met with a blanket "no" and although it was 4-star, there was no room service. The daytime staff often stared at you. We soon realised that, although the hotel was nearly empty when we checked in, we had been allocated a disabled room with a small bedroom and huge bathroom, probably because it was near to the housekeeping services. The worst moment came when there was a wedding held on the lawns of the hotel outside our room with amplified music. There were beautiful tables set out for food and drink and the staff attentive. We felt that as paying guests were an irritant to the staff and interfered with the running of the hotel and we checked out a day early.
