This was our first visit to the hotel. We had a very nice view of the sea from our room. We were able to walk along the front to San Remo. There was a very busy main road outside the Hotel. We enjoyed our time and would go again

This was my second stay at Villa La Brise. I love the hotel, the people, and the location. It's right on the ocean--you can just grab your towel and head down to the beach. Owners Marco and Tizziana (and little Emma) are lovely hosts. It's on the edge of town, but the bus service is great and they will lend you a bike (there's a bike path right out front). The location is also convenient if you are driving east for the day, as you don't have to drive through San Remo. I look forward to my next visit!

An older building that has been partially renovated inside. Nominal heating in January so the room was a bit cool. There was some kind of an air conditioning system but we didn't figure out how to use the telecommando. We had a room on the beach side of the hotel so the view was beautiful, but the main thoroughfare along the coast is between the hotel and the beach and that meant ceaseless traffic. Closed windows in January reduced the noise but if you stay in the summer I hope you can get that air conditioner to work.

Highest recommendation for Villa La Brise. Great people, extremely friendly and helpful. It's on the edge of town but this really isn't a problem--for one thing the end of the trolley bus line is right at the hotel, so a bus pulls right up to the hotel like a taxi. You are right beside the water and a great bike path. They'll lend you a bike so you can head into town. It's a lovely location. I was especially happy about the wonderful recommendations from Titziana about great towns to visit. The only small drawback was soundproofing-when guests came upstairs and it was quite audible. But overall I would encourage anyone to choose Villa La Brise--I hope to return.

Nice hotel, nice people, but I had to sleep with earplugs since my room was heading to a very busy (between 6AM to 12PM) road. Otherwise, OK ...

Friendly atmospher. Staff is very kind Good location in front of the sea near the San Remo city center (2 km). The two bad points are: - the noise generated by the road in front of the hotel. Ask preferably for a lateral room. - the rooms are clean but need to be renovated

The hotel is actually quite far from the city center, though easily accessible by bus. As long as you do not need to drop in and out of your hotel, this hotel is perfect. The staff was very friendly and understanding.

The hotel was perfect for what we wanted and was exactly as adverised. It is located on the main street of Sanremo and is therfore noisy. We had a room with a balcony looking over the Meditrranian and it was beautiful, noise and all. The hotel is old and the a bit 'tired' but the bed was comfortable and the room clean. The bathroom was small but adequate. Air conditioning is available in the room and this negates the traffic noise once the windows are closed. Breakfast food was excellent and plentiful. If driving, the hotel has very limited parking on site so be sure to advise them before arrival. Local bus stops at the hotel front door so getting around is easy. We chose this hotel since we intended to visit Monaco during our stay.

One night stay, arrival at midnight - host waiting for me! charming hotel, althought the interior is a bit out of fashion; spacious dining room, delicious and enormous breakfeast; parking lot available; very friendly and helpfull hosts (they looked up and printed the map of Monaco for me and gave me advice which roads to take or not to take to avoid traffic jams)

Our stay at the Villa la Brisa Hotel was satisfactory. The room was very clean and it had a huge terrace faced towards the sea. However it was too small and we weren’t even able to walk around the bed without kicking some of the furniture. The hotel has a good potential (nice location, not far from the centre and close to sandy beaches) but it is too démodé for a three stars’ hotel. The owners should seriously think about renovating it and adopting a more contemporary and clean style.

We paid 80 euros for room, breakfast, and parking. It was definitely worth the money and I would stay there again. Manager and wife were great to us. We had an ocean view room and we liked it a lot. About 5 minute car ride to downtown area.

If you plan to stay in this hotel during the low season, you should negociate the price by phone than book by mail. When we arrive in the end of October 2006, the hotel was empty and we pay about 100.-- Euros/day for 2 adults and 1 little child. If we haven't book through the web, we woul'd have pay approximately 50% less than that price as seen at the back of our room's door.

Very good value for money. Friendly owners. Basic but very nice breakfast with fresh bread/croissants, yoghurts, juice and coffee/tea. Private parking in front of hotel a definite plus. A bit distant from Sanremo town centre, but we considered this an advantage, as it would have been too noisy downtown. Front rooms have a lovely sea view. Back rooms are very quiet.

Comfortable hotel with great staff. Hotel is located just in front of the only sand beach. You had to pay but was reasonably priced and not busy. Bus stop right out side the hotel with a 1€ ticket taking you to the centre.

Rooms are very basic. Rooms faing the main street are very noisy. They should invest in better windows. Fresh bread was missing at breakfast.

Good basic accommodation at a reasonable (off-peak) price, including continental breakfast, although I would baulk at the advertised High season rates. Very friendly, fluent English speaking owners (plus ITV channels on satellite TV). Nice sea views but quite noisy (night & day) as directly fronts onto main coastal highway. Unmentionned in the blurb is a general use PC in the lounge with free high speed internet access which was a God-send. San Remo & shops/restaurants in walking distance (10 mins). San Remo, like the Italian Riviera, was a bit of a let-down, clearly having seen better days & in need of a serious make-over & facelift - the contrast with the French Riviera, even Menton just over the border, is very noticeable.

The staff were very helpful and friendly as we did not speak any Italian. Our first room we were given was at the front with a wonderful sea view, unfortunalty the main road in and out of San Remo was right outside,so it was very noisy. We then moved to a room at the back of the hotel which was quiet.

I stayed at the Hotel 'Villa La Brise' , during the Monacco Grand Prix. It is certainly cheaper than staying in france, and the Restereaunts are a lot better in Italy. The Hotel is a bit difficult to find at first ( especially if you are looking at the wrong map), but it is ideally located on the sea front, close to shops, restereaunts and a supper market. The staff where very friendly and helpfull, and spoke excellent english ( which helps when you 'non parle benne Italaino'. I would recommend this hotel, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.

Small hotel in an old villa just beside the coast road with. very beautiful house, fine style, nice sea views from the breakfast room. which is not seen on the pics of their homepage: loud and busy street is between sea and hotel. this is why some rooms are noisy up from 5 a.m. try to find a quiet room in the house, we got one without further circumstances. staff as friendly and helpful as can be, breakfast delicious, italian cornetti etc. baked fresh on the spot, yoghurt and so on. rooms small and clean, no luxury, but bath and toilet renovated and working fine. extraordinary friendly and polite owner family.

A very nice and hospitable family runs the hotel. It is a very old house, but the rooms are very clean and it is really charming. The only problem is that the hotel lies directly at a busy street, and therefore it was very loud at night. If you stay there you should try to get one of the rooms which are not towards the street....

This was a great stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke English. We had a terrace room with a great view of the sea. Free internet access was wonderful as most hotels charge extra for this. The only down side was the traffic noise from the road between us and the Sea. But the air conditioning worked and we could close the window for quiet.
