The bathroom of our room has been partially renovated but still needs some maintenance (taps and fittings). Parking places for cars are available out in the road in a public parkink facility at seaside, at € 10,00 per 24 hours. But if you use the car, you have to pay again. The restaurant is very good in a nice room with view to the sea. Breakfast is good and with comprehensive choice.

The reception staff were both helpful and friendly. Our room was very good: spacious, clean and with superb views. The hotel is close to the promenade and shopping, and although this is a virtue in some respects it is possibly a bit noisy for that reason. Wifi is variable in quality, but generally acceptable. Breakfast has something of the Fawlty Towers about it: the honey dispensers were largely out of action for the four days of our stay, some items were available on request but this fact was not publicised, and the supply of some items was intermittent over the session. The breakfast room staff seemed not to be in full control of their brief. However, these are relatively minor complaints to which the hotel should in principle be able to respond quite easily.

The Lolli Palace exceeded our expectations in every way. The rooms were comfortable and reasonably large. My friends' faced the water and mine faced the garden, next to the hotel. Both views were wonderful. Breakfast was everything one could want, including capaccino. The location is superb and the staff helpful. It should have four stars, rather than three. And, the price was great.

In a noisy spot right on the oceanfront, but double-pane windows solve most of the noise problem. Very clean hotel. We had a couple of meals and the dining room is very good.

If you are in San Remo, do not miss the opportunity to stay at the Lolli Palace. You will experience Old World charm, excellent accommodations, an attentive and considerate staff, and a great location from which to access the city. Our room offered breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. A first rate breakfast is included and is served in a lovely, bright and sunny dining room with excellent views of the sea. Our special thanks to Claudio, a front desk clerk, who was especially nice and helpful.

We had a lovely room at the front of the building with seaviews. The room was smallish, fairly clean (but not perfect), but really lovely old-world feel to it. Fairly quiet, despite being on the front. Good location within the town. Handy garage. Breakfast was chaotic and mediocre, but the breakfast room is elegant. Staff seemed a little reserved which I can imagine some people would consider rude. they weren't, though. The internet reception didn't work and reception staff were not capable of helping/caring too much. Which is a shame. Good value for money, really. Would recommend and we would definitely stay again.

The hotel has an excellent position by the sea and very close to the town. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. The beds were lovely and we slept very well indeed. The slightly negative things were that the wireless internet only worked if you were 1 metre away from the base station and that we didn't understand that the cost of parking was not included in the price. We will return to San Remo and it is very likely that we will return to this hotel and book through Venere.com who we have found to be very reliable for our many visits to Italy.

The hotel is delightful, a feast for the eye and a balm for the spirit -- and with half-board a great value; the room was bright, big, and beautiful with outstanding views to sea and town; solid facilities, very well run, touches of elegance, gracious staff, walk across the street to a bit of public beach, very nice multi-course meal with extensive buffet on the side; the hotel is by the former train station--I got a one-week bus pass and took the bus direct from the Ventimiglia train station to within a block of the hotel; when I wanted the train toward Genoa it was easier to take the bus to beautiful Bordighera and wander around a bit before picking up the train there instead of taking just as long to get to the new San Remo train station in San Remo which is supposed to be a disastrously inconvenient tunnel station.

Very nice hotel in a good location. Friendly, helpful staff. The accommodation is of a very good standard, well maintained and clean. Convenient for shops, bars and restaurants. Parking and car access is a bit restricted 2 or 3 places on street and a couple of spaces in the garage (Charge applicable). I would definitely use this hotel again.

The Lolli Palace is a lovely place to stay, is in attractive surroundings and is very conveniently situated for beach, casino and town. The staff are very helpful, and half board is good value. The dining room is very elegant, with sea views, but the reception and very large lounge, lack atmosphere, the original entrancehall being used by the very helpful tourist agency. We hope to return.

Although under Property Facilities it is stated that the hotel has its own garage and that parking is free, we were told upon arrival that the garage was full and that we have to look for a spot on the streets. After searching for one in vain for almost 30 minutes, I left the car on the hotel drive way and the key at the reception. A hotel employee parked the car eventually on the street and we were charged 15 Euros, 5 Euros per day, for that.

This hotel provides a fairly large room and, at least in ours, a beautiful view of the beach and a palm tree garden. It’s far away from the train station, so take a bus if you don’t want to struggle past miles of window shoppers. While the hotel was fairly comfortable, the people at the desk were absolutely rude. They even hung up on me when I called from the room to ask about breakfast (which was NOT provided). Basically, if you don’t speak fluent Italian, expect to be treated like utter garbage. Be prepared to pay for beach space, or bring a mat, as the free “beaches” are only considered beaches based on their proximity to the water. We’re talking anywhere from pebbles to giant boulders. Without a beach mat, you might end the day feeling as though your spine has been realigned.

Most of the hotel staff was very nice. There were a couple of crabby women that were not as friendly as the rest of the staff, however. The hotel is very close to the casino and to the beach, so this is the reason for the noise. In my opinion, it was worth it for the location.

Had to park illegally and walk two blocks to check-in. There was a sign with the name of the hotel on the main street but couldn't find the entrance to the hotel right away (in an alley - scaffolding in front - lobby actually in what one would consider the basement - very negative first impression). We were travelling with 85 year old mother and steep steps were a challenge for her. Very noisy. Had picked the hotel because of the proximity to the casino and beach but not worth it (the casino is a joke - people waiting in line to use the machines). San Remo was a disappointing city and could not recommend the hotel. The staff was friendly and helped reconfirm our reservation for the next day by calling the hotel for us.

This hotel was very pleasant. Our room was on the 5th floor with a wonderful view of the sea and Sanremo. The room was very large with a spacious closet. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful. The breakfast was in a pretty dining room and was very enjoyable. Sanremo is a wonderful city with very pleasant and helpful people. Sanremo is better than Monaco and on par with St Tropez in every way. While little English is spoken, and we speak very, very little Italian, the people in Sanremo are so nice and helpful that language is not a problem. I highly recommend Sanremo to everyone and the Lolli Place is a very nice hotel to spend a Holiday while visiting Sanremo.

Even nicer building than expected, one criticism however was that the air conditioning was rather ineffectual and had we been staying at a hotter time of year we would have found it very uncomfortable, it did make it difficult to sleep at times even so.

I think this hotel is just reasonable. You pay 93 euros for a room which doesn´t offer the minimum requirements for a comfortable stay. In my opinion, they should offer better facilities to the guests and a better breakfast. As a matter of fact, I got clearly disappointed with this hotel.

The lobby and public areas are tired and could use an update. The balcony railings are a bit loose, and quite low - a safety concern with small children, so we didn't let them onto the balcony. The rooms were a very pleasant surprise. Our ocean-view room was spacious, nicely decorated, with a lovely bath. The hotel is very well-located across from the ocean, just a short walk from the public beach. An excellent value, and a hotel we would certainly visit again if in San Remo.

I was very pleased with my stay at the Lolli Palace. My only problem with booking through Venere.com was that the website required me to book two out of the three rooms I needed as half-board reservations which I did not want. The staff at the Lolli Palace readily made the adjustment for three B & B reservations. Overall, I was pleased with booking through venere.com and very pleased with the three rooms at the Lolli Palace. I would no hesitiate to use venere.com for future trips to Italy.

San Remo as a destination has faded slightly since the 'belle epoch'- very much in the same way as many British resorts have. The Lolli family toil manfully to hold back the ravages of time! In many ways they succeed. For many years The Palace formally held 'pole position' close to the railway station. The line is now underground and the station is now the other side of town, however the hotel still has the glamour of the Casino for company. The rooms are tastefully and sympathetically fitted and decorated in style. Front of house staff are excellent and the breakfast buffet is fine. The 2nd floor dining room is surprisingly good. Don't let the side entrance and fading exterior put you off - instead support the Lollies in their endeavours - keeping this fine private hotel open for our business!

The Lolli Palce was as good as we were led to beleive. The view from our room was lovely with a sea view to the side and palm trees in front. The only thing I was disappointed in was that we had to have our breakfast in the lower room with the shutters closed and not in the upper dining room where some of the other quests ate.

We had a wonderful welcome when we arrived with local maps provided without having to ask for them and information about the market the next day. The room was a good size, decorated very well (recently I would think) with a pleasant view although we could hear the early morning traffic noise even with the double glazed doors closed. We were surprised that there wasn't a hair dryer in the room. Breakfast was fairly simple but good with prompt, friendly service. We happily recommend this hotel.

From the moment our taxi arrived at the Lolli Palace we were welcomed. Our check-in was swift and we were very pleased with our room. Service was friendly and professional and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lolli. The views from the dining room were magnificent we would have loved to have had our breakfast there rather than the downstairs breakfast room but that is the only very minor critcism we have.

We stayed here in early September and had just reserved the room shortly before. We asked for a view of the sea and were warmly welcomed and provided with a top floor suite which overlooked the sea from three different widows in the corner. The rate was as advertised and very reasonable. The room was very well appointed and ideally with the hotel located across from the beach, right next door to the historic Russian church and only steps fromn the casino and downtown. Overall we were more than satisfied with this outstanding hotel.
