Hotel Liberty - San Remo

The hotel a lovely villa, and it is very close to the train station. Very friendly and helpful owners and nice atmosphere. The room was clean and quite lovely but not too large. Bathroom was not nice - like a plastic box in the room, and even though it was clean it was not very nice - and the drain was smelly. Breakfast was disappointing with no fresh bread and very limited choice in general. Fair enought maybe with only 10 rooms in the hotel, but overall we felt that the room was not very good value for money.

The Liberty hotel is a lovely romantic hotel with extraordinary nice personel contact to the owner of the hotel and his wife. We enjoyed our stay in Sanremo as never before (it was our 4th visit of Sanremo). Andrea's recommendation of local restaurants with Ligurian meal (A CUVEA, Corso Guiseppe Garibaldi 110) or traditional italian meal (IL PIRATA, CORSO Trento e Trieste 11, near YACHT club) was excellent.

Hotel is in an older villa very close to new train station. Proprietor Andrea was very helpful. There was no elevator available. My "single" room had a double bed but room was not much bigger than the bed. Old-fashioned key in door to room (I couldn't get it unlocked one time). Bathroom was a pre-fab unit like you'd have on a small, older ship. Lighting in room not too great. Breakfast had pre-packaged pastries, but had yogurt and fresh fruit.
