Hotel Vincci Tenerife Golf - San Miguel de Abona

A bit disappointed by the info provided by the staff on restaurants recommendations and spa bookings (they didn't really know much so had to wait for the masseuse to come - she came only with booked appointments). If you stay by the pool you get bar service (they come to you while you lounge which is nice) but they don't come to the solarium area just above it :( why not? Rooms were clean and spacious and all seem to be sea view. The hotel is located in an area with a small supermarke nearby (well stocked but very expensive) and few restaurants (but very turisty). To eat I recommend going to the nearby town of Los Abrigos (Ristorante TITO) or to El Medano for a drink/bite in the square by the main beach.

I will not book a hotel through Venere again as the room offered and booked,is not the room we were put in when we arrived. I have also never had a hotel room that did not include breakfast, even the hotel staff were surprised! The hotel itself was fabulous; they gave us the room we expected (as booked and paid for),we enjoyed it so much that we stayed for a week instead of the planned 2 nights.(At a cheaper rate for the same room, including breakfast!)The facilities were all fantastic, especially enjoyed the spa and gym; large lounge area with beautifull calming decor; fabulous pool and deck area with massive beds to lie on and soak up the sun!! One recomendation: a permanent member of staff at the bar from midday will ensure clients do not wait up to 30 minutes to order drinks/coffee/lunch.
