Hotel San Giuseppe - Borgo Maggiore, San Marino

A very nice hotel, but expensive. They did upgrade us to higher end rooms at no charge so I will give them credit for that in my rating of 7/10 for price vs. quality. A 5 minute drive to the beautiful castle at San Marino (you can't really walk it) and excellent view up to the castle above, or to the ocean far below.

The place is hard to find, but the surroundings are great. The decor is terrible, but the place is clean and comfortable. The staff is limited, but they are willing to accommodate your requests like serving eggs for breakfast, which were not in the menu. Their restaurant cook is fantastic; we had a terrific dinner at a very low price. I would come back here.

It's a very nice hotel. You need the car to get there because it's not an easy area to reach on foot. Our room was small but clean and nice..it was OK. the hotel is situated in a park near a monastery, with a beatifull view on san Marino that is on the top of the hill.If I come back to san Marino I'll probabily choose this hotel again. Only 1 thing we did not like so much: breakfast area is very big and there were only 2 people to deal with so the service was not so efficient...anyway the breakfast was good.

Top quality hotel, but in the middle of nowwhere.Poor public transportation.

Ww were traveling with an 11 month old child. While the hotel provided a portable crib in the room there were no high chairs in either the dining room or the breakfast room. They had no high chairs available in the entire hotel. Other than this big problem, the hotel is superb.

Staff absolutely excellent! But the structure only three stars: small bathrooms, bad soundproofing, meager furnishings. Five-star staff, but only three stars hotel.

What struck me was the quality/price rate.A four star hotel at 59 euros is a real burgain.The hotel is situated in an extremely pleasant area,with this large park surroundings,although a bit far from the center.You need to move by car.However there are many parks in the city.I absolutely recommend it to the turists and not only, for its fantastic view,space,services and cleaness.Everything inside is new and cristal clear,the bathrooms are elegant and spacious,the rooms are quite comfortable, big and classy,air-conditioned and digitally sicured.I should say that I have never dreamt before to saty in such a modern hotel. Of course, there are better hotels in the world but I travelled a lot and believe me, the quality of this one would have been worth double the money I paid.

I had problems with the key to the room, but were immediately resolved. Too bad for noise coming the other room, otherwise the living would be excellent in every point of view.

Wonderful view from the rooms at the front of the hotel, but facilities such as restaurant and bar were closed on some days- and no other faciities close by. The breakfast was very poor. The staff were helpful but not very competent.

Good deal even if hotel is in administrative restructure. Room had noise due to water pipes (and hopefully stopped around 11pm). Unique coffe machine for the breakfast room (queuing was mandatory).

If only I could have stayed much more longer...

This Hotel is as far as I know the best around San Marino's surroundings.I'll certainly book again in the future when I'll come for work.

I particularly appreciated the prompt response of Ms Sabrina, the receptionist, who was very kind in solving a problem with the room key.
