Hotel Cesare - San Marino

I had a lovely stay at the Cesare, the young lady on reception was very friendly and helpful as were the staff assisting with the breakfast buffet. I had cause to return unexpectedly as I left a jacket in my room. It was waiting for me on my return and a letter in Italian explaining my circumstances was provided to enable me to change my train reservations without extra cost or inconvenience. Full marks for going beyond what was expected, many thanks.

Small rooms - hard to find

The hotel room was smaller than expected, and I was dissapointed of the view from the window, hence the photo intorduced in this site is so attractive. The hotel restaurant is great, with professional staff to guide you with the dishes, and I would highly recommend it. Breakfast is nice too, so it would be nice to stay here for the meals they serve.

Excellent value

Hotel in beautiful setting almost on top on San Marino (you can park at the top parking P6 and hotel gives parking cards for every day of your stay / charged at half the normal price). Wi-fi is working well even on top floor but costs 5EUR for activation. Very nice hotel with great restaurant with open fire. We stayed there for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. The night receptionist could use some English lessons but overall no problems at all.

Excellent hotel, small and cute, in the heart of the San Marino down town - walking distance to the major sightseeing. Excellent price for such a quality comparing to some other places in Italy. The only minus was that the shower was a bit tiny and you can hear your neighbours in the bath room very well. Otherwise everything was excellent. The big plus is the hotel restaurant - very good food and wine. Definitely would come back!

The rooms are to small including the bathroom

We stayed at the hotel twice and had pleasant stays both times. The location is perfect for walking around San Marino and eating out. The staff is gracious and very helpful to locate attractions. Room is very clean and comfortable but small. The views from bedroom and bathroom are breathtaking. Breakfast is a typical European and plenty. We will definitely stay there again if going back to San Marino in the future.

The hotel and staff exceeded our expectations. It was a perfect location. We were a group of three (two mature adults and one young adult) on vacation. The room and bathroom was the size of what we expected in a European hotel. The room and the hotel were clean and inviting. They had the use of a laptop with internet connection for a very small fee. The breakfast buffet was very good. The views from our room were spectacular. The weather was very pleasant so we slept with the windows open; however, it became noisy early in the morning with adjacent merchant activity and the street cleaner. The room was air conditioned so it would be quiet if the windows were closed. The village was very clean and welcoming. We would return to San Marino and definitely stay at the Cesare Hotel. This was our first time in San Marino.

The hotel is in an excellent location for exploring the historical center. The staff was welcoming and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

IL Cesare is a great Hotel , only stayed one night. Is in a great location , right in the center of Town's.In the middle of shops and boutique and restaurants, I would recommend it to anyone .The rooms are a little small but the bathrooms are spacious. Their restaurant is great, big fireplace blazing They roast the meat right there ,smells so good,We will be back again.

Location is everything. If can find the hotel and find parking, then this is an excellent location. (Note: Parking is in a nearby lot, but you must pay for it at the hotel desk).

Our stay at Cesare was great. Although only one night, the room overlooked the street and we could watch people strolling. The location was perfect for our stay, and parking was only a half block away in a lot. The restaurant at the hotel was very good, and everyone was warm and friendly. We'd definitely stay here again.

Very nice staff, helpful, pleasent. Nice breakfast buffet. Excellent restaurant right on the property. One of the best hotel locations for exploring the top of Mt. Titano.

The room was quite nice BUT there was lots of little things broken such as the light over the mirror and so on..

It will be better if next to the address of the hotel the number of the nearest parking place is mentioned.

The hotel is great and the view from our room (106) was really beautiful! Also where it is situated was perfect. I only found the breakfast-buffet a little bit poor.

It was a nice confy place!!

We had a corner room on the top floor with a spectacular view from two large windows. The room was adequate, but offered no seating except the bed and no place to set down anything in the bathroom. Parking was discounted by half at a lot around the corner. A good hotel in a great location and comfortable enough for a one or two night stay.

Everything was excellent and our host so nice and helpful.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The pictures on the internet do not do it justice. We enjoyed being close to the shops, restaurants and the castles in the historic centre. The views from the rooms were incredible. The shopping in San Marino was excellent and prices were better than Florence and Venice.
