La Locanda del Castello is located in the old part of the small ancient hamlet inside the walls surrounding the Castle of San Giovanni d’Asso which dates back to the XVI century (1500). La Locanda del Castello 35 km south of Siena and only 20 km from the motorway A1 exit Valdichiana, it’s a strategic base for sightseeing to Pienza (17 km.), Montepulciano (28 km), San Quirico d’Orcia (14 km) , Montalcino(16 km).

By car from Milan Take motorway A1 direction Rome and exit Firenze Certosa, follow direction Siena and then Arezzo, turn right at the traffic light following direction Asciano after that continue to San Giovanni d’Asso.
