Good hotel to stay not far from the walls of San Giminiano (5mn walk). The place has the advantage to be in a quiet street. The room we stayed had a balcony with a beautiful view on the Toscany landscape. Simple decoration and common furniture but rooms are very clean and comfortable. The personnel was helpful and very kind. The hotel has a restaurant which has a good reputation (even if we did not eat there). Good relationship between price and quality. We absolutely recommend this hotel.

Conveniently located hotel with parking available on site. Welcoming staff. Rooms simple, but very clean and tidy with usual facilities. Pleasant balcony and reasonable value, traditional breakfast. Would recommend this hotel as good value for money.

Lovely, friendly, family run hotel. We slept in every day missing breakfast but were given free coffees and croissants each morning on the veranda instead. The staff couldn't have been more helpful.

Everything ok, all people working there are from 3 generations of a same familly, they are just great. Hotel is 5 minutes working from the village, in a very quiet and nice street surrounded by a beautifull nature. Very good quality price, and the restaurant provide very good food. The meat was great and they have very good choice of wines.

A modern high quality hotel within easy walking distance of the city wall and gate. Spotlessly clean and well kept room. Quiet room with a fantastic view over the Tuscan countryside from the balcony. The restaurant is pricey but service and food was excellent. Excellent breakfast. Staff were terrific.

Very new, plain and modern. We had a room with a little balcony and views of the towers. Large bathroom, but shower flooded floor each time requiring a mop-up! We were told there was a safe but there wasn't. It was not a problem as we were only there overnight and the town centre was only five minutes walk away so we just took our documents and money with us. We asked if there was car parking and there is but it is just what is available on the roadside. There was none available when we arrived but the staff were very helpful and juggled their vehicles to make room for us right outside the hotel which was much appreciated as it was raining. Great breakfast. Quiet location and easy to find. At the end of our sightseeing day it was no trouble to stroll back to the hotel, freshen up and stroll back to town for dinner and a wander round without all the day tourists.

Staff good and friendly, helpful re parking, and hotel in road away from busy traffic and high charging parking - if a little way to walk. Hotel decor very modern and white - which might seem bare to some - a few touches of brilliant colour would not go amiss - and very clean. Breakfast selection good; bar OK but might benefit from a comfy sofa or two to make more homely. All in all we enjoyed our couple of nights in this hotel and would recommend to others.

It would be great to have a "true" door between the toilet and the bedroom, indeed the one we had was like an "accordeon", and couldn't avoid some noise from a room to another !

Really funky rooms, just a short stroll from the city walls, with terrific views along the way. My wife and I were split between two rooms with our three kids and the standard of accommodation was very good, the second bedroom including a solid full-room size mirrored partition which we were able to close once the kids were asleep. We got two rooms next to each other which was ideal and at breakfast, where there was a good cold buffet selection, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The reception staff were also very good, giving excellent road directions to our next destination (Pisa) and generally being pretty helpful. Overall, a very pleasant experience

Great location to see San Gimignano. You park and never have to drive until you leave...unless you wish to see Seina and Volterra which are very nearby! The rooms were quite spacious and well kept. It was also very pleasant to be able to sit on the balcony in the evenings to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Small hotel with a short and easy walk to the city center. Parking can be a problem. Had a nice room with a balcony facing the valley. Restaurant not as good as we hoped for and breakfast very limited.

The hotel was not full in fact we may have been the only guest and the ristorante was closed. We did not have a very good view of the countryside. Other than that it was excellent.

A lovely little family-run hotel. We asked for a room with a view, and we got it! The staff could have spoken better English, but such things make travelling more exciting. The entire staff were so nice and service-minded. When we had a little accident, the staff did their utmost to reduce our problems; called a doctor, went to the local chemistry etc. The breakfast was much better than expected, and the restaurant is definitely worth visiting. We recommend this place.

There was a minibar in our rooms, which was un unexpected bonus. The prices for the minibar were okay. The staff is friendly and helpful. The free parking spaces are limited. Walking distance from the hotel to the centre of town is just 10 minutes.

Aug/07. All aspects of our stay exceeded my expectations, and that of my wife and children (aged 12 and 10 years). I can't praise or reccommend this hotel enough. It is situated on a small one-way road, off the main road up to the walled city of San Gimignan. Hotel is apx 5/10 mins walk down the hill from the town itself. We had a lovely family room, which could perhaps be better described as a very modern and tastefully decorated apartment, in a stone built "annex" just a few paces across the road, opposite the main body of the Hotel. I guess the single and twin rooms are in the hotel, and the family rooms across the road where we stayed (maybe 2 or 3 other rooms next door to us, and perhaps same on floor above us). There is parking directly opposite the hotel, again only a few yards from the annex. It's an excellent place for photos of the valley looking up to the Town; the typical Tuscan landscapes you see in guide books!! It seemed to me that the owner's daughter thoughtfully and cleverly parks her car there, so she can make always create a space for arrivals! We stayed here as a stop-off; having flown into Milan ahead of travelling down by hire car to my in-laws' property south of Rome, where we visit each year. We had time to walk around San Gimignano, and liking the area and the hotel so much, we booked an overnight stop on the way back up to Milan. Although there are plenty of restaurants in the town of San G, we had dinner at the hotel. This too was excellent, in terms of quality and choice of food and wine. Having left the hotel, on our first leg of our journey south, we called into Siena, and spent a few hours there. Although San G is itself a very attractive location and worth a few days in its own right, I think this hotel would be an excellent base for visiting Siena and Pisa. Our schedule didn't permit Pisa, but we are hoping that we can return to the hotel for a short break in the autumn or spring.

we are a family of five with three small children ages 4 to 10! The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located a few mintues of walking distance from the historic center therefore you do not get the traffic and the noise of the center that can be reached by 5 mintue walk. The rooms are clean, but simple. The beds are hard!
