The hotel is a little outdated, but the location is fantastic and they offer free parking. For those reasons alone, it's a great place to stay. If you like to stay up late and you are loud, this is not the place for you - we came home from dinner around 11 and were simply talking in the stairwell on our way to our room and the manager came running out to "shush" us. Strange.

Breakfast was in comparison to roomrate very poor besides you had to fetch it from the single public zone in the office to your room.Coffee you had to prepare yourself in the room. The position of the motel is perfect to explore San Francisco. Your description of the way to the motel was perfect as well.

The accommodations are very nice--we stayed in a room with a king-sized bed and it was more than enough for myself, my husband, and our 19 month old. The proprietors were extremely efficient and welcoming, and the location (right next to Polk Street) is ideal if you don't want the hustle and bustle (and homeless) of downtown. The free parking is definitely a plus--makes staying in SF with a car MUCH less stressful! We will definitely be back!

A very nice Motel that I would definitely recommend to others;Perfect location in close proximity to everything - Pacific Heights is the nicest area in SF. Perfect when you have a car as you have free parking. Our room was very very small though, but we paid less than $100 so I guess it is OK.

From the Golden Gate Bridge, take the Lombard Street exit. Follow Lombard until Van Ness and then turn right. Less than half a mile later, make a left on Broadway. At the next intersection, Polk Street, make a right. Take the first right onto Pacific Avenue. The hotel is located at 1630 Pacific Avenue.
From East Bay and Oakland Airport:
From the Bay Bridge, take the 101 North/Mission Street exit. Make an immediate right at the end of the off-ramp onto Mission Street. Veer left onto Van Ness Avenue on the next block. Follow Van Ness for approximately 1.5 miles/2.4 km and make a right on Pacific Avenue. The hotel is located at 1630 Pacific Avenue.
From South Bay, San Francisco Airport and Silicon Valley:
From the Peninsula, take the 101 North/Mission Street exit. Make an immediate right at the end of the off-ramp onto Mission Street. Veer left onto Van Ness Avenue on the next block.
