I stayed this hotel for business trip. This is a refurbished hotel with a cool modern design of reception area and restaurants, and that's all. After the reception and elevator hall, the design was different, it looked as if all the investments went to the refurbishment of lobby and restaurants only. I arrived at the hotel after a long-hour (overnight) flight and had mentioned that I wanted an early-checkin. But when I arrived, the hotel staff told me that I had to wait until the room gets ready and they didn't know how long it would take so they would call my mobile once it's ready.. I had to wait at the lobby for a few hours while being exhausted. (and they didn't call me finally) It's stated as a 5 stars hotel, but a bit more of staff education is required. It could have been perceived as okay if it was stated as 3 stars.... Room was quiet, although sometimes I heard door noise from the next room. Also, on the brochure in the room there was little instruction about the hotel facility. Next time I would rather stay at other hotel chain nereby(such as Hilton or Marriott, etc) if I am to pay the same amount of money.

Overall we had a great experience here - my husband and I stayed for four days for a conference. The location was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms could use a little updating (our bathtub was cracked and the paint from the bathroom furniture was chipping), but otherwise, this is a great place to stay.

Loved it. Warm and inviting and quirky during the day, funky and alive at night. My room was lovely, I slept amazingly and wanted to spend the day in my room enjoying the decor rather than tour the city.

Super deal for what the rates usually is. The hotel staff is fantastic, the room I stayed in was huge, and really great. The only down side is the hotel is showing wear and tear, and the bar is just too crowded on weekends, not really a good scene.

Refurbished hotel. Rooms and public areas feel up to date but nothing more. Once stepping out the elevator you can sense that this is a refurbished hotel. Standard hall ways etc. Nothing special. The rooms are nice but not that overwhelming either. Much more innovative thinking went into teh redesign of the first floor. Nevertheless this place still outclasses every one of the typical chain hotels. Facilities are not that spectacular. Only a gym area The bathrooms seem to have gotten less attention, very chain like design. The reception area and the Redwood bar really are cool hang out places. The restaurant provides the same cool factor but the food wasn't on par. Typical for many design restaurants is that it's more about the concept than about quality and finesse aspects.
