The staff was nice but a little confused. The elevator needs work, The phones in the room did not work to call the front desk. No internet service in the room. We did not understand why you must always turn in your key when leaving the hotel. Why we were not allowed guest, or if you did have a guest there was a thirty dollar fee. The hotel was not up to our expectations. We made due. We felt there were too many rules for something we pay for. Also the soda machines were broken could not find a ice machine. We will not be recomending anyone to this hotel. sorry but no.... Thank you

Staff was nice enough. No rowdy patrons. Lots of riff-raff outside of the hotel.

It was fine. Great location, close to everything. The neighbourhood was a bit sketchy.

You have to know what you're getting into whenever you book a hotel room in the Civic Center area of San Francisco. In this case, AIDA is as good as it gets. If you're stupid enough not to Google "Civic Center" before you make your hotel accommodations, well then, it's your own fault if you book a room in a place like this and expect it to be like the Holiday Inn. My experience of the AIDA was wonderful. The staff was accommodating (not to mention humorous), the beds were clean, and I didn't care if I had internet access. I was on vacation, for Chrissake! And I have an iPhone... Location is perfect for any public transit. If you're respectable, then the staff will treat you accordingly. (You've got to take into consideration what they're putting up with.)

1. No hot/cold water mixer in the sink and no plug either. 2. Impossible to take a shower because water changes from very cold to burning hot every few seconds. 3. Dirty pillow covers. 4. Free Internet is advertised on every wall but it doesn't work - password fails and staff does not know the new password.

Very satisfied of this hotel! Good location, we were 2 girls and we didn t have trouble. Staff very friendly and available. Weak point : the breakfast...it was a joke! No room to take the breakfast, only a table available in the front desk with coffee, tea and some donuts! Not continental at all!

My friend and I stayed at the Aida hotel in San Francisco for one night and it was a great stay. The hotel doesn't look that nice from the outside, but the room was huge and pretty clean and it had all you need for a couple nights! And it's a great price!! The location of the hotel is just perfect, since you can walk to the Union Square for example and the huge mall and you have the bart and bus station right in front of the hotel as well. And there are a couple of good and 'cheap' parking possibilities close to the hotel too. So for us it was the perfect hotel and we for sure gonna come back the next time we stay in San Francisco!

Market Street is a very busy place, but this part of it is situated in a somewhat darker part of town. The hotel is surrounded by pornocinemas, but the street is busy enough to feel safe, even at night. Excellent public transport. Something for budget-travellers. Friendly people, service is goed, rooms simple, but clean.

My experience at Hotel Aida was horrendous. You should no longer offer this as a hotel listing on your website. When we first checked in, they accidentally gave us the keys to someone else's room since the front desk was so disorganized and it appeared they had no organized fashion of determined which rooms were available. As it turns out all the rooms were booked and we were not able to stay at Hotel Aida, even though we had reservations. It turns out there were many groups during the same weekend that had to be turned away even though they all had reservations. Also, many of the rooms do not have private bathrooms and the hotel is a complete dump in worst part of the city.
