I would highly recommend this hotel. It is within walking distance of the waterfront and the gaslamp district. I stayed in a suite which was superb. Large windows and great views from the living room. The restaurant was also excellent. All staff were friendly and very helpful. I would return to this hotel without any reservation.

Good value close to Gaslight District in this remodelled hotel. Complimentary 1.5 h guided walk on Sats & Suns v good. Not a quiet hotel as no double glazing to keep out the traffic noise and rooms small, but you cant hear the trains all night unlike some very expensive hotels on the waterfront.

By car From San Diego International Airport (SAN):Head west toward N Harbor Dr. Turn left at N Harbor Dr, then left again onto W Broadway. Make a U-turn at 1st Ave to access the hotel.
From the Mexican border:
Take I-5 N toward I-805. Take Exit 16B for 6th Ave toward downtown San Diego. Turn left onto 6th Ave and then right onto W Broadway, where the hotel is located.
From Los Angeles and the North:
Merge onto US-101 S. Merge onto I-5 S. Continue for 116 miles/186.7 km. Take Exit 17 to merge onto Front St toward the Civic Center. Turn left onto W Broadway, and make a U-turn at 1st Ave to access the hotel.
