The room was spacious, comfortable and quiet - that said we were on the second floor, away from the road, and the hotel was not at full capacity. The quiet may change during peek season. This would be a great place for a family - close to the beach, but a bit away from the "night life". There is no internet access on the property as the description said (this was a big issue for us.) and the breakfast was absolutely terrible. All in all a good value.

The hotel seems to cater to families and groups. This being the case, the guests begin "socializing" at early hours. Loud chatter and laughter was common at all hours of the morning and night. Noisy trash trucks also arrived at early hours. All this noise seemed to be amplified in the "canyon" (parking lot) between the two buildings, Not sure if the hotel can do anything about either, but not the place to stay if you like to sleep late or like quiet accommodations. Other than the noise factor, the hotel was clean and pleasant with a great beachside location and a competent staff. I would stay there again.

We had a terrific stay, even if it was for only one night. When leaving my wife commented that she would love to return. The room was newly remodeled and felt wonderful because it was spacious and clean. It is a two minute walk to the beach and there is shopping only a few blocks away. We were traveling with three kids and they loved it as well. We hope to be back again!

From San Diego International Airport:
Leaving the airport via the commuter terminal, turn right onto Winship Lane and then left onto North Harbor Dr. to Interstate 5 North. Proceed north on Interstate 5 and exit at Grand/Garnet. Make a left onto Grand St. and turn right onto Mission Blvd. Go six blocks on Mission Blvd, the hotel will be on the left.
