This was the worst hotel I have ever, ever stayed in. The location was in 'the hood' and very scarey. The rooms were old and smelly, they were dirty, the furniture was burned and falling apart, the curtains were torn, the carpet was not vacuumed, there were disgusting spots on the floor, the security locks on both rooms were broken. I just can't say enough bad things. We go to SD very often and this 'read' like a nice place. It was horrible. My husband and I were their with our daughter and her 2 young children. It was a very negatively intimidating property.

The breakfast is very poor and the staff dedicated not very nice; the hotel is not in downtown so is necessary a car;good the hydromassage with hot water;the hotel offer a room with personal computer;the pool is large.

Room was small. Fridge did not work and smelled bad. Bathroom was moldy and water temperature/pressure was horrible and you got scalded/frozen at one minute intervals. One of two phones did not work in room, but local calls were free. Listing said hotel offered shuttle service from airport but did not. Pool area is lovely but they allow non-guests to use it and it was overcrowded and quite rowdy and we didn't get to use it much as a result, no priority is given to hotel guests. Staff were friendly and tried to be helpful but were slightly clueless. Note WIFI only available from lobby, no other areas.

The housekeeping needs to be supervised and checked. Our room was not hoovered and grit from the balcony was left on the carpet for two days. The rooms need an upgrade small things like a loose shelf in the bathroom no bedside table at one side of the bed and nasty grit on the balcony took from what was a nice place. Lovely pool but rooms need info pack re standard info regarding hotel. Restaurant Red Fox too dark to be enjoyable. Hotel has potential to be really good with some improvements.Be aware that pool open to public for part of day 11.30-6.30.

Head north toward Airlane Rd and then take a slight left toward North Harbor Dr. (follow signs for Parking/Terminal Return/Airport exit). Take another slight left toward North Harbor Drive (there will be signs for Commuter Terminal/Point Loma/Harbor Island). Turn left at North Harbor Dr. and then left at West Grape St. Turn right to merge onto I-5 South, and then take exit 16 to merge onto CA-163 North toward Escondido. Take exit 2B for Washington St East. Merge onto Washington St. Take slight left at Normal St., and then slight right at El Cajon Blvd.
