Considering its good situation between Florence and Siena, our hotel is located in the right place for a stay in Chianti Classico. Hotel Paradise is in an old country house on the main square in Mercatale Val di Pesa.
Mercatale Val di Pesa is a XII century village on Chianti hills. It is completely surrounded by olive-groves, vineyards and pine-forests and this is the right place for oenological tours in many restaurants and castles which are all around.
Besides interesting places as Machiavelli’s house in S. Andrea in Percussina, Greve in Chianti and the monastery in Badia in Passignano are destinations for pleasant excursions. In surroundings there are riding-schools, swimming pools and tennis courts too.

Lovely,simple and scrupulously clean accomodation in a very pleasant village setting.Good choice of reasonably priced cafes available for breakfast.Warm welcome from owners,bags carried upstairs to our room.Would definitely recommend this for a short stay,more of a 'pension' than a hotel,though.

Matteo was an excellent host and concierge. He's knowledgeable and extremely accommodating. The hotel is comfortable, clean, centrally located in the delightfully authentic (no tourists!) village of Mercatale. Our only complaint in terms of the booking is that we expected the hotel to be in the village of San Casciano but it is several miles away in the town of S.C. (and the road to S.C. was closed!). Also, there is no air conditioning and the temps were beastly - it was difficult to sleep - but this was true of nearly every hotel in Europe this summer.

Creo que es un hotell muy interesante, en cuanto a la tranquilidad que3 se respira, hay que dejar claro que no esta situado en castenaso, sino en mercatale. El nivel es bueno y tengo un grato recuerdo porque siendo sencillo es bonito y limpio. lo recomediaria!!!!!!!

Mercatale Val di Pesa is 20 Km far from Florence and 40 Km from Siena. To get to us, it’s enough to take the highway Florence/Siena at the exit Florence Cerosa A1, then to exit at San casciano Val di Pesa and follow the street signs for our village.
