Hotel Delle Rose - San Bartolomeo al Mare

It was the 1st time we stayed at Delle Rose and San Bartolomeo. We had a room at the ground floor, next to the entrance, opposite to the storeroom of the cleaning service. Thus we had an excellent vue of brooms, dustpans and used bed sheets, and everybody who came to the hotel had an excellent vue of our room. The fridge delivered after our arrival, was rather heating than cooling. The service staff in the morning - we booked B&B - was very unfriendly and the choice at the breakfast buffet quite restricted. Maybe should we have stayed more than 4 nights and booked half board, then we would have been better served?!

E' un buon albergo, rispecchia in via generale la sua categoria, ottima cucina, buona qualità e prezzo, buona posizione, vicino al mare che purtroppo non è pulito a causa delle barriere di rocce artificiali che non permettono il riciclo dell'acqua, sembra quasi uno stagno, è da allontanarsi un centinaio di metri sulla spiaggia. Comunque lo consiglierei sopratutto per la cucina.

We only stayed one night so perhaps not able to give a full judgement. Finding the hotel was slightly difficult but very welcoming reception and excellent bedroom. Had booked half board and the evening meal was poor - although breakfast very good.

We stayed two nights at the Delle Rose and made day-trips. The hotel is situated behind one row of houses at the seaside, so you could reach the beach within 2 minutes walk. The public beach was ok, but swimming was not possible because the water wasnt deep. In 5 minutes distance was a private beach, where you could swim as well, so the location of the hotel was very good, if you want to rest at the beach for two hours after a day trip. In walking distance are enough restaurants for every taste and price range. Though we had no problem to park our car on the street two blocks away, there was space at/near the hotel, except a garage box. We didn´t ask for the fee. Breakfast buffet was excellent, fresh ham and cheese, fruits, joghurts, müsli and cereals. Lots of small cakes and bisucits, the italians love so much, 3 different fresh juices, variety of jams,... The room was quiet, all in all we were very satisfied.
