My only real problem with this hotel was that the rooms were not cleaned regularly and I had to ask staff to take the rubbish which accumilated being a self catering appartment. Also you did not get fresh towels everyday, it was more a case of finding cleaning staff again. On the plus side the position of the hotel was excellent as regards access into town and up the main strip of San Antonio Bay. It was also quiet there as it is set back from the road, unlike several other hotels I have stopped at in the Bay which have been very noisy for the majority of the night.

Room was a seperate sleeping area and then lounge dining area with additional sofa beds and a kitchenette. Bathroom came off the separate sleeping area. Only comment on this arrangement is that coz the sleeping area is not an actual closed off room with a door you can shut you can lose privacy. Plus you need to traipse through the sep sleeping area if you need the bathroom meaning disturbing anyone sleeping there. Towels and sheets were changed regularly but the floor wasn't swept or cleaned in the 10 days we were there. Luckily there was a broom and pan in the room to get rid of all the sand!! Finally if you need to use the courtesy area on the day of departure make sure you get some towels from the maids in the morning. We were told we could use the courtesy showers when we got back from the beach but when we did there were no towels and they could not get us any as they were locked up in the maids room. I had to go and buy a clean towel (minus sand and sea) so we could shower ourselves and the kids before catching our flight. Other than the above overall we had a good stay at the Ibiza Mar. It was definatley value for money and there was a good mix of families and young clubbers. We were a family and didn't get disturbed too much but we did go at the beginning of the season in June.
