The Sporthotel Samedan is located right in the heart of the upper Engadin, at 1700m above sea level, on the outskirts of Samedan.
The hotel offers a restaurant with terrace, a hotel bar, a cozy lobby, a conservatory and a TV room. Guests and locals enjoy coming to our restaurant with its cozy parlor and the terrace with the magnificent view. Our kitchen is open all day and offers a seasonal, daily and weekly menu, as well as lunch.
The hotel has a total of 49 beds. All rooms have been completely renovated in the fall of 2004. The junior suites for 2 to 4 persons have two separate rooms, and the bathroom is either equipped with a whirlpool tub or a steam bath shower.

There is a big construction going on right next door; therefore, the room is currently really loud. The restaurant is not too inviting, but everything else is fine. The cleanliness of the rooms is excellent. The rooms are very spartan, as you expect a Sporthotel to be - may be. It would be nice, though, to find some decoration on the walls.

This is a clean little hotel, but nothing spectacular. The room was fairly spacious and the bathroom had been newly renovated, but the beds were older and creakier. Buffet breakfast was nice and fresh, but as is usual for Switzerland, no small fridge in the room and limited TV choices (4 channels only). At CHF120/night for 2 poeple, it's not the biggest bargain, but we did book rather last minute. Suspect it is much more expensive during ski season.

By Car
Via the expressway A13 Chur-Thusis-Tiefencastel, the Julier-Pass or the Albula-Pass (summer period only).
You can also get your car loaded on the train in Thusis or in Klosters Selfranga (Vereina), and travel by rail to the Engadin.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE". In this case, the total amount of your stay will be charged to your credit card by the hotel at the time of booking.
