Meininger Hotel - Salzburg

The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs and to provide local information to us as well as the other guests. The manager was visible and working among the staff behind the counter. The facilities are new & modern, clean and well thought out, although a bit cramped. Although the hotel is quit a walk from the Salzburg old town, ons has beautiful views of the Salzburg surroundngs from every room & easily access to the old town and the main train station.

Some double decker beds are too close together, it cause some disturbance.

I was first time in this hotel.i like very much everyting,special the price.clean rooms,nice public area. very nice brakfast.I recomend to you.i was with 3 children and i am happy for the 5 days hollyday in there.thanks meiningeer hotel salzburg.at

The hotel is very clean and quite. breakfast, even not included, offers a variety of choice from bread to drinks, vegetables. even if not fournished with a private parking, the discount of 20% on the public parking is acceptable.I would come back for a longer stay.

Its facilities in the room are confederate, for instance, there are sufficient sockets to satisfy with every roommate even it is fully occupied. That is very important to tourist with numbers of electronic tools nowaday. It is also convenient to downtown though the hostle is a little far from the centre.

We arrived at night so wasn't sure about the location of the hotel, but the staff were very helpful with our needs. The room was adequate for 4 adults, although room was a little small. All in all met our needs and breakfast was pleasant.

Check in and procedures were all explained clearly. The room was ready when we arrived, ~1600, and was more than adequate for our needs. We would like to see one addition made, it would be nice to see a small refrigerator in the room to keep cool drinks available at night. As far as location, if you learn and use the public transportation, you are about 10 mins from downtown and all the sites via one bus.

Too far from city center - you better stay in the trainstation area. Ugly rooms, quite small too. Got two separate bed (and bunk beds). Expensive (~100e) for a 3stars-looking hotel, but no breakfast nor parking included. Breakfast is reasonably priced but only so-so quality and choice. We arrived, very tired, at about 13:30 - but checkin was only at 3pm and no effort was done to check if any room was ready. Checkout is at 10am but you can pay 5euro PER PERSON to checkout at 1pm. Only positive point: very helpful staff (beside check-in)

Excellent for young people in groups or families

Very comfortable rooms, with the nicest shower I've seen while traveling in Europe. The location is just far enough out of the way from the old town to be annoying, but just close enough that taking the bus seems inappropriate. The price was cheaper than what you would get for something comparable in the old town, but the place also hosts a hostel: you know that the backpack kids you see in the common area are paying about a quarter of what you are, if that. The rooms were clean, comfortable and large, even if the decoration is slightly bizarre. I would recommend, take the bus from the train station, and bring your hiking shoes to get to/from old Salzburg.

Great hotel, great price, next to the city center... good breakfast for a reasonable rate, too expensive the garage parking fare (11 euro per day) but absolutely worth going to.

The Meininger was spotlessly clean. We would have thought we were the first to stay in the room. The room itself was excellent and had a wonderful view. While the front desk staff took care of what we were there to do, we didn't see many smiles from the girl who helped us and another staff gave us incorrect information about getting places which was frustrating. We noticed other staff, however, who seemed much more pleasant and eager to assist the guests they were assisting. We would absolutely stay here again and loved our room.

It was conveniently located, about 15-minute walk to the historic downtown. (We drove anyway and parking was pretty convenient at the garages nearby.) The room was clean and neat. Besides the 2 single beds, there was even a double bunk bed. Perfect for family. I like the modern touch to the design. The lobby was a bit noisy and crowded though. Free wifi in the lobby. I wish they could provide free internet in the room also. It was kind of inconvenient to go downstairs to use computer. There is a supermarket right next doors which is great. Parking is under the building that costs 11 Euro per day. Not bad. It was a pleasant stay. The price was terrific! I would recommend this hotel to every traveler.

I was having holiday at Salzburg, and this place is a good place to stay, easy to access by bus. Take bus no.2 at lane 2.Get the 3 days card. you can access to all place of interest, mostly free or some with discount.

A very refreshing experience, except that you are so popular, one has to wait a bit to check-in, because there are so many guests waiting to check in! We will definitely be repeat guests

Fantastic hotel with a superb view of the mountains. i loved the fact that the double rooms have a balcony. would have been better if there were chairs on the balcony too!

A bit out of the city centre.. but with bus u are there in a while. Not really needed otherwise
