Hotel Vogelweiderhof - Salzburg

I never stayed in a hotel like this. For 2 days no room was cleaned and no towels changed. The surrounding was dirty and the restaurant closed. Only one thing was good: the staff speaking german was friendly. So if you want to go to Salzburg stay under a bridge it's more comfortable

A good standard hotel room with facilities. A bus services outside the hotel was good to travel into the city of Salzburg.

No hot water for one shower.

The Wifi is weak although my room is on 1st floor.

This hotel was a surprise. The family rooms are large and comfortable. The resaurant hass good food and is not expensive for Austria.

Even though this hotel is a bit outside of the old city, it is right next to the bus so it is a simple 10 min ride to get right to the heart of old town. The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is top rate.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The hosts were great.

Good one for the price. You need a car to reach the city center. No restaurant in the hotel.

It was not really a convenient place to stay as far as location to town center or train station, but the employees were wonderful! They were very welcoming and eager to help out with anything.

Hotel decor a bit on the dark side.Within 15 mins easy walk to railway station.Bus outside hotel to city centre.Only 1 local bar near hotel but no sign of a decent coffee shop.

The hotel is located at 30 minutes walk from the historic centre but the services provided by the hotel and restaurant's staff made up for the walking distance. I will travel again to Salzburg and I will stay at the same hotel.

I really enjoyed this hotel, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was quiet and clean. The breakfast was fair, but the breakfast lady was very nice, she was always smiling and saying hello to people. My only compliant is that it is quite far from the center of Salzburg. There is a bus, but it didn't come around that often, but walking, it is a 20-25 minute walk into town. Overall I would recommend this hotel. They have a restaurant that stay open til 2300 and has good beer and good strudel.

Hotel was clean and staff were very friendly. As advised on web page best way to get there from hotel is by taxi,cost 20 euros. Train station is 10 minute walk and there is a bus stop that takes you right down to the old city. Buses are frequent and reliable.72 hour Salzburg pass is very good value. Salzburg is lovely and people friendly.

I really like this hotel, clean, quiet and the very nice staff. Also, the breakfest is excellent and generous. Very warm and joyceful stay in Salzburg in this hotel.

Good value-for.money hotel. Easy to find as it is situated just after exit from highway. Also 20 minutes walking distance to city centre. Reception not always occupied, but personnel very friendly. Salzburg is great and romantic city.

We like the spacaiousness of the room and the toilet but one of staff on the phone unable to speak english that we tried to call them in case that we were late check-in.

Is a wonderful place. Quite, fine and very very accurate. The breakfast is amazing and behind the hotel you can found the best beer of Salzburg. High, high recommended if you go with your girlfriend or wife. She can be very happy.

Stayed 2 nights.Cosy,relatively close to city centre and practically straight off the autobahn. Really friendly and helpful staff.Easy parking.

We had a room which overlooked the busy street, so it was noisy all night. Other than that, the hotel was very nice.

This a a really special little hotel. My only complaint is that it is not in the City Centre, though having said that it was beautifully quiet and with the bus right at the front door and only a ten minute ride to the centre, the location really wasn't a problem. Theresa and her crew do a wonderful job. The atmosphere is superb, breakfast excellent (and even fresh fruit and sweets left out in the halls for the guests to help themselves to all day long)and a lovely restaurant open till midnight so that I was able to have a nightcap or a coffee before retiring. I would most definitely go back and can only urge those intending to visit Salzburg on a budget to do the same.
