We thought the Hotel & Villa Auersperg was located in a perfect spot to explore beautiful Salzburg--not right in the center of activity, yet close enough to walk. The weather, unfortunately, wasn't great while we were there so we were unable to take advantage of the hotel's gorgeous gardens. Next time!!!

I had read good things about this hotel on Venere, but it exceeded all my expectations. We booked a superior room and snagged the only one with a balcony. It was really a minisuite with the amenities of a much more expensive hotel, including plush bathrobes! Great mattresses, and high quality duvets, sheets, and towels. The buffet breakfast provided a vast array of choices, including fabulous whole-grain breads. Convenient and quiet location. Would love to go back!

My wife and I, both 38, stayed here and loved it. We were in the townhouse building in a very comfortable room on the back side. The hotel itself was very nice looking, clean, served with competent, friendly staff and had a very good breakfast each morning. The free internet PC in the bottom level was nice touch also. Only possible downside is being on top of the hill. After a long day, it was a minor chore to walk up the hill. The good thing is, most of the four or five blocks up the hill were on the car free shopping zone. The few extra blocks was well worth the savings. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

My wife and I had a very impressive stay at the Auersperg. The staff were most welcoming and helpful - when we arrived, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was very comfortable and furnished very tastfully. The hotel is situated in a lovely quiet location of Salzburg - in easy reach of places to see. The breakfast buffet was fantastic - plenty to choose from. Would definately stay again if we travelled back to Salzburg. Highly recommendable.

We would stay at this hotel again only if we could be guaranteed a room away from the street. The street noise was exceedingly loud, & since there was no a/c it was necessary to have a window open, making it even noisier. A room facing the garden would be lovely.

Centrally located and is within walking distance to all. Unfortunately, there was some construction going on in the area, which started rather early (6:30 a.m.) But overall, very good hotel. Beautiful outdoor braakfast available.

We stayed in the Villa next door to the hotel itself which was OK but we felt a little left out so to speak. However, the Villa was very adequate as it provided everything that we needed. The hotel is probably a little further away from the Old Town centre than we anticipated so that the walk home, at night, was perhaps too long.

We loved this hotel & will definitely be back next time we come to Salzburg. Manuela at the front desk was superb, the breakfast was the best in our 16 day tour through Europe, the location was fabulous, and our room/bathroom were perfect. There are even complimentary fresh apples strategically placed on tables throughout the hotel. Bottom line - I am already looking forward to returning.

We would go back in the future. We had booked online and the reception at the hotel was warm and welcoming. It is a pleasant walk from the hotel to the centre. Our room faced onto the road but due to the quiet situation the noise was fairly contained. The choice at breakfast was very good and the service was pleasingly prompt.

This property was very confortable, clean, and friendly. The only disapointment is that the hotel has a main building and another building just beside it. If you stay in the main building you can use the amenities easily and there is an elevator. If you stay in the building beside it (which we did and weren't given a coice about it) then you have to make the uncomfortable journey to the sauna or pool by walking outside on the sidewalk between the buildings in your pool attire or take a bag with you. Also, because there is no lift you have to carry your luggage (in our case) up 5 flights of stairs. Other than these issues it was great! Breakfast was wonderful!

Overall a very nice property in Salzburg. It is a little far away from the main old center of town (15 mins walk), but is located near one of the shopping streets. We stayed in the Villa (not the actual hotel) and the rooms were lovely. Large, nice bathrooms, beautiful weathered pine floors (no AC, tho). No minibar in the room - minor. The bar service was very slow, but they offered us an excellent walking map of nearby restaurants, complete with type of food and price category. Free internet terminal in the lobby is very helpful to catch up on mail. Excellent breakfast in the morning.
