Hotel Schöne Aussicht - Salzburg

It has a great view and if you have a car it is very convenient to the centre of the city. There is a bus at the bottom of the hill which takes you to the centre. They don't serve dinner on Tues & Wed. The dinner we did have was very good. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

Great property, pics did not do it justice. View is incredible. A bit far from town, but still easy to get to. Would definintely go back there. A very warm and cozy hotel.

All staff of the hotel are friendly and helpful. The rooms are very good sized, and breakfast offering is quite good. The hotel is on a hill. If you have a car, be prepared to drive 1 minute up a steep hill mostly with one lane for both directions (some care needed there). If you dont have a car, be prepared to take a torch as you walk 10 minutes up the hill at night. At the bottom of the hill, you take the bus which goes to the city in 10 minutes.

Splendid panorama view as expected. Might be hard for Seniors to clime to hotel by walk.

Old world charm with a top view saves it.

A really nice place to stay. We would come back anytime. If you don't have a car, take bus no 2. After the last stop, there is a long walk uphill (difficult if you have luggage). We were lucky enough to meet nice people that offered a short ride (exactly what we needed).

This is a beautiful location, a close drive to the city centre. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and spacious. I would definetly stay here again. Also the breakfast was great!

Rang to say we'd be late and were told that's not a problem but the day shift did not pass the message to the night shift so we had to look around, wake up owners and show the printed Venere booking page. Were kicked out at noon and weren't allowed 15 minutes extra for a sauna. Loud music from one of the guests could be heard most of the afternoon. No proper curtains to block the light, partner moved to sleep on the floor in the hall. Internet in the public area is a joke, PC doesn't work and turns off every 20 minutes. Bedside lanp on only one side. Good points are that sauna does look amazing and it's a nice area, but only if you have a car. Room was very spacious.

The hotel is really a great place to rest and relax. Good breakfast, decent service, good welcome. The whirlpool is great. It is not very far from Salzburg's old center, but I suggest arriving with daylight, otherwise you may get lost at the neighborhood. Good for people who rent cars or use taxis all along.

The hotel is located on a mountain overlooking the city of Salzburg. It is a little out of the way but we had a rental car with a GPS and found it with no problems. The view was awesome and was so nice a quiet! The rooms were a little small and the bed too soft for our liking. The hotel did have a bit of a funny smell, but it is also very old.

The Hotel has a wonderful location as the name indicates, but the rooms are very dated. The upkeep is not up-to-date. The Restaurant is excellent. I would not go there again, unless some major renovations are done.

Beautiful view-point, therefore a little bit outside of the centre. Located on the top of a hill. Property probably rebuilt from a landhouse. Room was spacious, we booked a double-bed room but received an apartment with two rooms and four beds, so space enough :-) We stayed there just for one night, for that purpose and price it was perfect. Would recommend.

We stayed there for 3 days. The hotel is on a hill over looking the center. Wonderful view, make sure u take the city view not the forest view rooms. To reach the hotel you need to go up a very steep hill for 400 meters and if you dont have a car or some kind of transportation since the public transport is down the hill. Dinner in the hotel restaurant is nice but a bit expensive. Nice family running the place. The rooms big & clean, but needs to be renewed. The hotel is a nice old family run place that feels like your living with them. Very quite surroundings, excelent view.Better have some transportation...

Since we arrived by car we had downloaded a Google map and we found the hotel with no problem. I suggest anyone planning a stay at this hotel do the same. Our room was quite small but clean and comfortable. There is no lift so we had to carry our luggage up three flights of stairs. The food and service where both excellent and the staff very helpful. It rained during our visit but the view was still excellent since the hotel is situated well up a moutain slop. There where a number of cyclist also visiting during our stay so I presume it is great cycling country. The hotel was very close to what we expected.

There was no air conditioning in the room. When I asked for an extra towel for the swimmimg pool, they told me that I couldn't have it and that I should use the towel i had in my room, the one that I use to do the shower (!!!)

We had a wonderful stay in Salzburg, the hotel and the surroundings are great and the view from the room was magnificent. Excellent breakfast.

You need a car to access this place and it is easy to get lost in the area if you enter into a wrong road. It is slightly difficult to find this place but thanks to nice neighbors to lead us to this place.

Excellent situation and view of Salzburg / mountains / meadows. Possible walks around. Very nice hotel. Welcoming staff. Quiet location. Great breakfast.

This was a most beautiful place to stay. The views were magnificient. My only problem was access. I needed to catch a taxi to and from hotel as the bus stopped at the bottom of the hill and one had to walk a very steep and long road (no good with bad knees). The hotel could have supplied a small bus. Food - fabulous

The Hotel Schone Aussicht was very clean throughout. The dinnig was excellent, Good food and excellent sevice. But the dinning room is closed certain days of the week, check before you go out.

We had a great stay. The manager helped us out the next morning when we needed to find our apartment in Vienna by calling the owner of the apartment to get directions. The staff really knows the area and gave us great sightseeing tips and restuarant recommendations. I would definately stay here again.

Very nice girl at the reception. She recommended us some places to go around Salzbourg and helped us to enjoy a very nice dinner with locals.

Beautifull location, worth the effort to find (need private transportation and map) but once threr easy to get into and back of town with public transportation. Allows one to enjoy a walk in the countryside nearby along with the visit of downtown sights. Great deal!

Posto splendido in mezzo al bosco, c'è una visula bellissima. Un pò fuori dal centro, ma sia in auto sia con l'autobusa è facilmente raggiungibile e in poco tempo. Colazione abbondantissima ed eccelsa, personale gentile e disponibile. Lo consiglio a chiunque, si spende poco ed molto molto pulito.

Very native, country hotel with an excellent view of Salzburg. Very good breakfast. However: anyone going there for the first time needs to have a map of Salzburg to find the place. The map on this site is terrible and totally inaccurate with regard to scale. You must tie this map with the A1/A8 exit you are getting off at, and those exits are not on the map. We were there for 3 days and went in and out of the hotel about 8 times. We were lost on 7 of them and only escaped unscathed on the last day.

This hotel is little bit away from the city center.It is located on a small hill so you can see the whole Salzburg from your room, which we found very romantic.If you do not have a car then you have two option to get to the hotel.One is the bus which stops at the foot of the hill and then you have to hike up to the hotel otherwise take Taxi which costs about 12 euros from the Station. The hotel was very nice. They have very good restaurant.the staff was very nice.

Not the first time in Austria,but the first time in Salzburg and in this hotel.Great hotel in great calm place nature surround,exciting view from the restaurant,terrase and 50% rooms.Important notice:expect to pay about 9,00EUR to get hotel from the downtown by taxi(5-7minutes trip),as hotel located 570m above sea level and public transport not available to the hotel door.
