We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Mozart. The hotel is clean, beautiful, and located within easy walk distance to Old Town. We were traveling with a car and a baby, and the hotel provided parking (for a reasonable fee) as well as a portable crib for our child. We would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was kind of expensive but there is a grocery store and several bakeries right down the street.

Staying at the Hotel Mozart was a very pleasant experience. It is a family owned hotel, with the family very much on the premises. They were most accommodating, and helpful in responding quickly to a couple of minor concerns in the room. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom very good. We made a couple suggestions regarding the arrangement of the room and were informed that they were already "in the pipeline" for improvements. The breakfasts were excellent, with many choices of tasty items; you will not go hungry at Hotel Mozart! Several attentive servers kept us well supplied; they all wear dirndls, which adds to the Austrian atmosphere of the hotel. We met some interesting international travelers at breakfast, including several from China. The hotel is located across the river from the old town in a nice neighborhood. It's not far to walk anywhere, and public transport is available; several good restaurants are nearby. Overall, this is a delightful place to stay; we enjoyed it very much.

This is a lovely hotel. I enjoyed my room and the view of the garden from the balcony. Since there was no option for "I don't Know" when answering hotel web site accuracy I put in zero, not an indication of truth or not. I didn't see the hotel on a web site first. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The "quiet" factor may depend on your room location. Fireworks in the neighborhood at three in the morning was surprising : ) I can't say for sure about the money value, to me it was expensive especially since it did not include breakfast. So I hear that is the story of Mykonos itself.

The parking price is not properly listed on the web page (13 euro for one night). There was no parking spot available on the hotel tiny backyard, I had to park the car on the street. Great experience overall though, well placed, clean, recently renovated, pretty nice place.

Highly recommended for those staying in Salzburg. Easy to find by car coming from high way, parking. Once you are there, city center is right in front of you. Quite and comfortable hotel. Name Mozzart keeps to the promise by atmosphere, furniture, rooms and public space, staff uniforms and approach.

We went for new year so it was double the normal price but only paid eu89 for our last night. Overall, the hotel was excellent and the position is very close to the Rathouse where all the action was (concert on new year's eve). The staff struggled a bit with English but they tried. We were told that ice hockey wasn't very popular so just turn up at the stadium. After talking to a lady from the back office, she got on the internet for us and booked the tickets - first night booked out; limited tickets for the next night - so pleased we didn't just 'rock up'. Don't believe everything the desk tells you. Wireless internet not available but two computers for free in foyer, although they were Apples in German, which we struggled with.

The hotel is located in a quiet area of Salzburg. Accomodations are fine, good breakfast, and wifi available in the lobby. The TV in the room exhibits "The Sound of Music" movie every night at 20:00, so you can check some Salzburg locations in it! Hotel staff provide you a handful of recommendations for restaurants in the neighbourhood as well as sightseeings. Overall we had a pleasant stay there.

Staff were very helpful and friendly offering advice and giving maps on recommended restaurants and sites to see. Easy access to city when leaving hotel take left walk straight for a block or two then turn right on quaint little street (walk for mile or so) that leads to bridge were most of sites are.

It was sorry that the hotel did not have its own parking area, although I could find a toll parking area close to the hotel easily. When I closed the windows, the noise made outside was shut down.

The hotel itself was a very good price for the quality. The location was good, although parking was an additional cost (as well as the breakfast). The hotel itself was fine - however the road noise was significant. What tainted our stay was our check-in experience being stressful and upsetting. The hotel receptionist told us we could not be picked up outside the hotel for our Sound of Music Tour with the Rick Steve's recommended "Bob's Tours" because the hotel wasn't "contracted with Bob's". After 30 minutes of conflict about this matter, the receptionist finally agreed to let them pick us outside the front of the hotel as we had arranged (Great tour by the way - but they will try very hard to dissuade you). Also, we had tried to directly book a Mozart Dinner concert for a Rick Steve's discount. When asking the hotel for help when the email for Mozart Dinner Concert bounced back - they insisted we could get no discount by booking directly. We later found this absolutely untrue but since we had Mozart hotel make our reservation, they would not honor the discount. We believe the hotel was trying very hard to mislead and misdirect us so they could receive their commissions.

Very nice hotel, a convenient short walk from the pedestrian area and historic center of Salzburg. Clean comfortable room which, although it faced the main street in front of the hotel, was not noisy at night although the window was open. The noise level did pick up in the morning as the residents began going to work but it was not excessive.

This hotel is small and friendly. It is well located within five minutes walk to the old town. From the top floor there are great views. Excellent located hotel at a moderate price. We had a corner room very spacious at the second floor. I don't think that they are all the same size. The best thing is the parking which is free and the breakfast which is excellent. Small old TV but we didn't care. Salzburg was beautiful for two days even if it rained.

A pleasant hotel just a few minutes walk from the main old town. Only complaint was that the beds were quite soft - a problem for people who have back issues. For this reason alone we would not go back to Hotel Mozart but if you are happy with soft beds, it comes highly recommended. They gave great advice on where to eat too.

Excellent hotel. Well located in between the railway staion and the old town. The reviews were accurate especially about quietness of rooms. Although it is on a main road it is in one of the quieter parts of the city. Staff were brilliant, welcoming, obliging and informative. Rooms were first class and represented excellent value for money. Going to Salzburg? Stay at the Mozart!

This hotel is well located across the river from oldtown Salzburg and near Mirabell. It is perhaps a 10-15 minute walk to oldtown. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean. The only reason we marked down the quietness portion is that we slept with the windows open and this hotel is on a relatively busy street. Overall, the value is excellent. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel twice and loved it. The location is perfect to explore Salzburg, 5 mins to Mirabelle Garden. The room is clean and spotless, also comfortable. The front staff is always friendly and helpful. The only downfall was that there was no breakfast included with the cost. We will definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again if coming back to Salzburg.

Hotel Mozart can be recommended without reservation. Rooms, breakfast and furnishings excellent, staff friendly and very helpful. Checkout time very liberal (11 a.m.) Views of the nearby hill (Kapuzinerberg) from some rooms on the 5th floor (503 - 506: 507, where we were, has a partial view from one bed!) Some traffic noise from street. Client information lacking in one respect: the room TV had an information channel (Ch.1), which also included a general and very informative film about Salzburg in various languages - but we only found out about it on the last day (by accident!) Now we know, and would return to Hotel Mozart with great pleasure - good value for money, even though not cheap!

We stayed for a total of 4 nights at Top Hotel Mozart. This is a relatively small, family run hotel and the staff without exception couldn't do more to make our stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. The reception staff and Oriel in particular were all very helpful with tourist information, restaurants etc. Salzburg is an easy city to get around and the hotel is well located. Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet with a good view across roof tops to the mountains. We would happily return to Top Hotel Mozart on our next visit to Salzburg.

I stayed at the Hotel Top Mozart in March, which is not a "heavy" tourist month. But the staff were very friendly and helpful, and I would definitely stay here again. However, if you have small children, you would have to learn to use public transportation (available through the Salzburg Card), because many of the attractions are a bit of a walk away. The distance is not at all uncomfortable for an adult, but it might be tiring for a child after a day of sight-seeing.

This hotel was a good choice - it has a family-run feel to it, but offers all the usual facilities for a hotel much larger. Rooms are modern in decor, and even the single room in our party was a good size. The location is good, with a five-minute walk to the old town, and is on the main bus route to and from the airport, making the transfer very easy. The breakfast buffet offered a wide choice, including a good range for vegetarians, and was at a reasonable time for tourist travellers such as us. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and would quite happily stay there again.

Excellent location near to the Linzer Gasse, a ten minute walk to the old town, close to numerous reataurants and bars. The jewell in the crown of this hotel is without doubt the first class, friendly staff, they are multi lingual and very knowledgable when it came to making recommendations for restaurants and excursions, they were always friendly, patient and polite. A lack of air conditioning means that on a warm evening you may have to leave your room window open, this lets in the street noise. The breakfast was tasty and varied, the ambience of the hotel is that of a traditional Austrian establishment. The rooms are not big but they are well appointed and comfortable. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Hotel Mozart.

Well located. Asked for rooms with a mountain view and were given them. Hotel receptionist called Awelie, a young French woman, was excellent with accurate information every time we asked but one of the male receptionists just guessed the answer- and he was usually wrong. Good hotel for the price, clean and reasonably quiet but with no facilities to make a hot drink and the hotel did not offer any room service. Also there is no bar. Breakfast was good for 10€. Maps given on arrival are useful and the restaurants recommended, apart from the nearby Italian which has a restricted menu, were good. We would stay there again.

My cousin and I stayed at the Hotel Mozart in Salzburg for 3 nights in October and from the moment we set foot inside the door of the hotel we were greeted warmly by Karen at reception. She was the epitomy of excellent customer service throughout our stay. From assisting us with queries, maps for the area, restaurant recommendations , taxis and much more, Karen and indeed all the staff who assisted us throughout our stay were nothing but helpful, curteous and exceptionally well organised to the point of anticipating our next requirement! (totally true, as I was arranging checkout the gentleman at reception was unknown to myself ringing a taxi company and ordering same for our trip to the airport - amazing!!). Excellent value for money in my opinion and very clean. I cannot praise highly enough. The hotel is also in a perfect location near the centre of everything if you wish to walk but if like us you would prefer a more leisurely break then the hotel will also assist in booking tours within and outside Salzburg, even with short notice. We decided at 7pm we would like to go on a tour the following morning at 9am and it was organised for us with no hassle whatsoever and we were collected from the hotel so all in all we had a brilliant, relaxing, stress free stay in this hotel and indeed this is one of my favourite cities in the whole world and I will defintely return. A truly beautiful city!

The exterior of the hotel is rather uninspiring, as is the street on which it is located, but don't let this put you off. The location is ideal - it's on a quiet street, a ten-minute walk from the railway station and 15 minutes' walk from the old town - close enough to be convenient yet away from the noise and crowds in this major tourist destination. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering maps and information when we checked in. The room was small but comfortable, which is really all you need. The breakfast cost an extra 9 euros per person but was excellent value for money - a high-quality buffet in very pleasant surroundings. The only minor gripe that I have is that there were sometimes not enough staff to deal with everything efficiently. On one occasion we were unable to find a member of staff to give the key to when going out, and did not want to just put it on the reception desk - and then got a bit of an admonishment for taking the key with us. And check-out was a bit chaotic, with a single member of staff attempting to deal with everything including arranging tours and taking telephone calls. Overall, though, this was a good-value, comfortable hotel and one that I would choose to stay in again.

This was a great place to stay. Close to all the places we wanted to go too and the staff were very helpful. I'd come back any time. We had 4 couples with our group and with the only problem being a little street noise and one missed bed remake we had no troble at all.

This is a very nice hotel in an excellent location. Our room was nice and sunny and spacious, too. The staff was friendly and helped with suggestions for things to do & places to eat. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Salzburg.

We only stayed 1 night at this hotel, but it was fabulous. Clean, spacious, mozart chocolates for our pillow and a wee couch to spread ourselves around on. The location to the main downtown was great - a quick walk (5mins?) through well lit safe streets. Cafes on route. Parking could have been a challenge as they had about 8 parks. We were there reasonably early, so had no problem. I would envisage the streets would have been relatively safe for parking overnight if nec - as we had found in other places. The biggest challenge with this hotel and all of the venere hotels we stayed with were the instructions on getting there. It is OK if you have a local town map, otherwise, the reality of finding the exact street off a small section is a bit of an IQ test. Coming into Salzberg was via a lot of roads off the freeway. We simply followed the signs along the 'hotel route' (or similar) which mostly also went in the same direction as the signs to the central area, and - eventually got to where we could narrow it down using a combo of the directions off the venere web site and the lonely planet guide book.

We were well pleased with the hotel and our 2 night stay. It was within easy walking distance of the old city. Hotel was clean and very nice - staff was very helpful. Absolutely no complaints. It was very easy to book through your website. Thanks!

The temperature in the rooms was a bit chilly. When we asked to have some heat supplied to the heaters we were told that it wasnot possible as the sensor OUTSIDE that monitored the climate judged the temperature sufficiently warm to prevent the supply of heat to our room. We were offered extra blankets, To our American way of thinking this seemed a poor way to handle our request. Other than that our stay was quite pleasant and the staff helpful and informed.

Very nice hotel and helpful staff. The room wasn't very big but enough if you're only there for sleeping and using the bathroom. Good breakfast but a little expensive.

Overall, this hotel is just OK. The staff was very nice and helpful, but the rooms are kind of dated. The four star rating is definitely a stretch for this hotel. I would say its really more of three star hotel. I thought the price was a bit high for the quality of the room, especially considereing that it did not include breakfast.

This hotel was a real find! From the moment we were helped indoors with our luggage until we checked out next morning the staff could not have been more helpful. We were given a map of the town and also one showing recommended restaurants near the hotel. The room was spacious and breakfast was good if a little expensive. The hotel was just a ten minute walk from the Old Town. Having had a bad experience with grumpy staff and bad food in a hotel in Bad Gastein this was a pleasant surprise. I would stay here again and hope to do so soon!

A very nice hotel indeed; the staff was very helpful and friendly, the receptionist greeted us with a smile and impeccable english (very useful since my german is a BIT rusty). Breakfast costs extra but is worth it; if it isn't to your liking, you can always go to one of the many cafes in the old part of the city, which is no more than 20 min. walk away. All in all, we had a nice stay, the hotel is not to close to all the noise of the city centre (we went the over the new years eve), but still very close and in a nice part of the city, it's clean and quiet, and you can be sure to catch some Mozart one your way to your room.

Bella sistemazione a pochi passi dall'Area pedonale.

We were extreamly pleased with our stay at Hotel Mozart. From the moment we walked into the lobby to check in we found the entire staff very friendly and eager to answer our questions and help us arrange our stay. The front desk helped us with restaurant suggestions, directions and even made reservations for us. They provided local maps and told us what was where. Breakfast while not included in the room rate was excellent as was the service. At 95 Euro per night this was definately our best stay in our two week trip to Europe. When in Salzberg stay at the Hotel Mozart - you will not regret it.
