Great selection at the breakfast buffet. Lots of room in the dining area, plates were restocked frequently. Broad breakfast hours (6:30 to 10 am). Lots of towels and hooks in the bathroom. Nice pizza place around the corner of the guesthouse. Make sure you bring extra time, it's a one man operation... cozy little place so you can eat in or take out. Not as pricey as all the other places in Salzburg. Mexican restaurant nearby also recommendable (Lemonchilli (?). Make reservations, though.

Good service, excellent breakfast. The only thing I didn´t like was that the check in is too late and the check out is too early.

Absolutely delighted with JUFA accomodation. Spotlessly clean, spacious and lovely room with lovely laminate wooden flooring which felt quite warm underfoot even at the end of December. Room very well heated by radiator with very efficient thermostatic control. Large double glazed window with easy opening. The room I had was suitable for somebody with physical disabilities with ample room for a wheelchair, good bed height, and also a wheeled shower chair in the bathroom with a walk in shower. Lovely bathroom also with attractive shower curtain, good lighting, large handbasin and nice loo. hairdryer and towels were provided. I was not expecting this as the JUFA website stated that they could be hired. I would not have taken my own if I had known this. My room was on the third floor and easily accessible by lift. Although the hotel was quite full I was not aware of any excessive noise. Very useful and spacious reception area with plenty of information leaflets, a nice coffee bar, small shop and lots of comfy seating. Really nice dining area also with excellent buffet breakfast (included in room rate) and evening meal available at very good rate. Really good location with easy walk into city centre along riverside in around 10 minutes. Would not hesitate to recommend JUFA as a place to stay and look forward to staying there again in the future.

I stayed in Salzburg 4 days with my boyfriend. The Jufa was perfect for our needs. Our room wasn't very spacious but it was clean and very quiet. The hotel is located just 10 minutes walking from the city centre, in front of the Hoensalzburg Fortress. There is also a bus stop in front of the hotel and the buses arrive in 15 minutes at the railway station. There are a lot of young people and the atmosphere was very friendly. Good!

When we arrived, with a reservation for 2 single rooms, with a crib in one of the rooms, we found no crib, and one of the rooms had not been cleaned from the previous user. The person at the reception desk, who was the only staff person in the hotel in the early evening said she could do nothing about the unclean room - but offered me the only other room she said was available. She said she would bring a crib, but none arrived. When we tried to change one of the rooms the next morning due to noisiness (early am deliveries) and stifling heat, which could not be turned off, we were told they could not do that, since that would mean having to clean the room again. Basically it's a good place for families (there is even a play room), but the staff are not particularly friendly or helpful (something we experienced from a number of people in Salzburg in jobs dealing with visitors to their city.)

This is a typical chain style hotel. The beds were extremly uncomfortable, very hard, pillows were as bad. Breakfeast was in a large refectory style area. The food was atrocious. The only positive from our point of view was the closeness to the Christmas markets, we walked there in less than 10 minutes.

The hotel was a great value and very clean and friendly staff. It has a young vibe to it - if you want a quieter laid back atmosphere, this probably isn't the place. The location was good - an easy walk into Old Town and the fortress. The staff was great (specifically, Eva was very helpful with planning our activities during our stay.) My only complaint was the noise from outside. I'm not sure if it was a dumptruck or construction, but we woke up early every morning to loud noises. Overall though, I'd stay again!

Very clean new hotel, Excellent breakfast, wish all hotels had such a breakfast, plenty of food plenty of choice. 5 minute walk to center of town. There are a lot of youth/teens staying there, but it was not noisy. We liked it so much, we ended upstaying at the JUFA Hotel in Nordlinger.
