Hotel Garni Frauenschuh - Salzburg

I have been travelling with my wife and children in late august. This little hotel is a very nice place to stay: it has big and cozy rooms, a very spacious and luminous breakfast room, and the personnel is competent and helpful. It has a very convenient car park, and its surroundings are very quiet at all times of the day. There is a bus stop just in front of the hotel, you can forget your car and it takes just 10 minutes to reach the city center.

Davvero un soggiorno incantevole!! Malgrado siamo arrivati alle 11 di sera, le chiavi ci aspettavano all'ingresso dell'albergo. La signora che vi accoglie è davvero molto gentile. L'albergo si trova esattamente a 10 minuti di macchina dal centro città. Inutile dirvi che la città è davvero meravigliosa!!

The hotel is absolutely charming and sparkling clean. The decor is cheery and elegant and bright, with homey touches everywhere. Sheep live in the back yard and one side of the hotel has commanding views of the Alps. The hotel is out of the city center but the bus is directly across the street and whisks you to the old city in ten minutes. We stayed twice; once in a smaller room with a double bed and again in a bigger room with a sofa and small table with window seat and chair. Internet is provided for free. Two minor complaints: breakfast is not included and costs 10 euro, which I find expensive (but if you choose to pay, there is a nice buffet breakfast); also the first night I took off my blanket and put it aside and then my bed was re-made without it, and I was cold the next night. Still, I would highly recommend the Pension Frauenschuh and plan to stay again.

We had a great time at Hotel Garni Frauenschuh. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and professional. The breakfast was the best we've had in Europe so far. It's about a 10 euro taxi ride into Salzburg or the bus stop is just outside the hotel. We thoroughly recommend this hotel for a family visit.
