Hotel Garni Evido - Salzburg

If you are lucky and they have a room for you there, it's near the Mirabel Palace, about 5 minute walk, just go out and walk under the tunnel. They sent me to another hotel (Hotel Haunsperger) because they only had 110 euros per person rooms, (I heard that´s what they told to a couple who was looking for a place to stay)

Very good value for money, if you want a reasonably cheap hotel that is clean and near the train station, this one is perfect. About 600m from the main Salzburg train station and about 10 minutes walk from the old town centre.

Hotel Evido is in fact the second floor of a rather ordinary-looking apartment block, and as such the outside is not impressive. However, once inside, it is fine. All very modern, clean, and safe. Breakfast room and food very standard and adequate. Reception also very adequate, but could have been friendlier. The big plus for Evido is its proximity to the main train and bus station - with regular buses to the airport - literally three minutes walk away. It is however a good twenty minute walk to downtown Salzburg and the main sights, so if you're not into walking, or have small children, it's probably not for you. For us it was fine. Price reasonable for Salzburg, and we would use it again.

- Very noisy surroundings; - breakfast below average because of staff shortage (reception cum b/f service) and only basic offering (not in line with description) - lots of confusion regarding parking - not-working internet access - occasional power failure even though it's been renovated only recently

Comoda la posizione per chi si sposta con i mezzi pubblici (3 minuti a piedi dalla stazione dei treni e degli autobus per il centro e per i dintorni). Molto rumorosa la strada e non si può tenere la finestra sempre chiusa perchè non c'è l'aria condizionata.Moderni e ben tenuti la stanza ed il bagno, anche se un po' piccoli. Buona la colazione.

Extremely noisy 24 hrs and hot - fan does not work either. Possibilty to park in the inner court is good - but no info, you have to ask for it. Why full payment in advance upon arrival?

The hotel was clean, neat, comfortable. The breakfast had a good variety, and the staff monitored it closely to keep it well-supplied and tidy. The beds were very comfortable, but the room was small--not a problem if you are out most of the time. There was no air conditioning, but even though it was July, we were comfortable. We did need to take the duvet covers off to use as a light sheet--the duvet itself was too hot for a couple of the nights. The hotel is very close to any public transportation necessary.

Really nice hotel which was very new. Nice room with modern fixtures and fittings wall mounted LCD. The only thing that was off putting was the guy on the desk invited his family round and left very little for us to eat and then his son on reception to deal with our check out and payment via credit card?? Odd but he managed to do it and obviously not his first time! All round was a good experience though

Muy buena ubicacion, a 100 metros de la estacion de trenes. Bien comunicado con el centro, ya que frente a la estacion parten los omnibus hacia el centro. Habitacion amplia, muy limpia. Volveriamos.

This is the best hotel of my trip in austria. very closed to the train station and not far from the center. the room is very clean and comfortable. breakfast is quite good.

Hotel entrance on ground floor plus stairs and/or lift to hotel situated on second floor of tower block are somewhat grotty and offputting.Hotel Garni Evido however is really smart and inviting with all new facilities.Would definitely stay at this hotel in future.

We were very satisfied with quality of services. The rooms was comofortable and clean. The windows from our room were situated to the court, so we have good luck for the quiet.The staff - especially by check in was very kind.The breakfast was very good delicious. The price was very positive.There was only one change. On web sites of hotel and leaflets in the hotel there is mentioned the breakfast should be served from 7.00 o clock, during our stay there was breakfast only from 7.30.

Great value for the money. Perfect if your looking for clean and inexpensive accomodations close to the train station.

We stayed two nights, double room. This is an excellent choice. It's a perfect location, within 10 minutes' walk of the historic district. It's cheap and clean and surrounded by much more expensive "name" hotels. There's really no reason to go anywhere else.

This is a serviceable, not fancy, hotel, with an excellent location for anyone who wants to be situated near the Salzburg train station. The breakfast provided was not outstanding, but was adequate. The hotel is located on one floor (not the ground floor) of a larger building.

L'hotel si trova a 10 minuti a piedi dal centro storico. Nonstante il palazzo sia vecchio, l'interno è tutto nuovissimo. La colazione è piuttosto ricca. Per noi il rapporto qualità/prezzo è stato buono, ma il posto macchina si paga a parte.

The hotel was convenient to the station and easy to find. It was also an easy walk to the old town. The main people working there (a husband and wife) were very friendly and helpful but the girl in the afternoon did not try to help at all when I had a problem with the internet. The man fixed it the next morning as soon as I told him. Having free internet in the room was very good. The room was very noisy though with a lot of loud talking from the bar below until after 3 in the morning. This was not the fault of the hotel. The room was comfortable and breakfast was adequate. I would stay there again if I got a room on the other side.

NEAR TO TRAIN STATION ( ALMOST TWO HUNDRED METERS ) THE ENTRANCE IS OLD AND UNCLEAR. IT NEEDS SOME IMPROVEMENTS. THE BUILDING WITHIN IS NEW, CLEAN AND NICE, WITH HELPFULL STAFF GOOD BREAKFAST IT HAS FAST WIRED INTERNET ( DIRECT FROM YOUR ROOM ) I recommend it !!

It was very nice at the hotel garni evido in every sense, room, breakfast, staff, etc. to be recommended !

This is a small hotel located on the first floor of a multifunctional building close to the Salzburg Hauptbanhof. The hotel was secure - access was by electronic keycard provided on registration. It is within easy walking distance of the city centre and tourist attractions. Rooms were functional and well furnished and high-speed internet(cable) access was included in teh proce and worked well. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast options were ok. Our one complaint about service during our 4 night stay related to room servicing: towels were replaced daily, but beds were not remade.
