This was my second stay at the Hotel Astoria. The first was 7 years ago. The hotel was just as I remembered but perhaps decorated better now. The bath was spacious and the room was laid out well. Our room had a balcony with a table and two chairs. It was nice to sit out there at the end of the day and have a glass of wine. I like walking from the hotel through the tunnel and into town but the hotel is right on the bus line and you can ride on an all day ticket or pay for single rides. The breakfast deck is cozy and shaded. The breakfast buffet has a great variety, there are steaming pots of coffee, and the staff is very accommodating. I find the Hotel Astoria to be out of the hustle and bustle of Salzburg but extremely convenient to everything and at a great price.
