The hotel staff is very friendly and welcoming, however, management has put them in an impossible situation. There are never enough staff in any service areas of the hotel to cover the needs of the guests. If you are in your room and try to call the front desk or room service, your call will not be answered. It is extremely frustrating. The poor hotel staff are under constant attack from customers, and this is just plain bad management. It could be a great hotel, but with this dire problem, I cannot recommend it to anyone. Look further... until a change is made.

Hotel has had renovations, but still shows wear and tear. The front desk staff is painfully overworked. If there are many guests needing attention, they will ignore the phone. This is a dire problem that needs management attention immediately. You cannot get service from your room!!! Very important to ask for a room on the ocean side of the building. Food in the restaurant is horrible (except breakfast buffet). I always eat out. They need to replace the chef. Salvador is complicated and this is the best, although mediocre, option i have found. Not able to give a glowing recommendation. My rating is relative.

I liked this hotel a lot! location is just okey, not too far from Barra, however you can't walk at night time, you will need to take a taxi but taxis are so cheap in Bahia, I have a ocean view, Amazing, I really liked it, The service is impeccable, Best breakfast in Brazil! FYI: if you get a room without an ocean view you're going to get a view to the street and There is no graffiti on the walls, that's art and its the "Yemamya", the quuen of the sea or something like that :0)
