The Bahia Othon Palace hotel is located at Ondina beach, Salvador City. It is undoubtedly the best hotel in Bahia, situated in the most exuberant scenery of Salvador, presenting colonial architecture and rich folklore.

The baggage staff and cleaning staff are incredibly nice. the front desk people are very partial towards europeans, and they are not so competent in dealing with people with american credit cards. I was delayed for twenty minutes because the staff could not process my credit card correctly and they kept insisting that the problem was mine when it was not.

The quality of the Hotel is quite good but never corresponds to a 5 star hotel. I would rate it as a 3 star hotel. The food is good but the price of the hotel is too expensive. For the same amount of money you can have much better hotel in Salvador.
