On site restaurants were very poor with the exception of breakfast. Room very small, a larger balcony with table and chairs would have beeen nice. Fridge did not keep items very cold. Beds very small for 2 adults.

The overall area is very nice, carpets in the common areas look old and tired, they really need a change. The check-in process is very long and slow, I think they should do something to improve it as most of the guests are travelling with children and waiting time is 30 - 60 minutes. The meals were very nice and the dinner restaurant also. Beach Club is great, too bad about closing the area at 6 pm - sun is up until 9pm and the place is just amazing. Should extend transport between own locations in Port Aventura until at least 8pm. The gardens of the whole location are marvelous. I have seen the convention centre on the outside - it looks great for Corporate Events.

We arrived on Xmas Eve to a virtually empty hotel which was somewhat surprising. The breakfast time allocation was interesting and something we hadn't encountered in 30 years of previous travel and we were the first guests for breakfast on Xmas day at 8:15 a.m. The lunch on Xmas day was sedate but the purpose of the trip was to enjoy the theme park which we did and were able to access directly from the hotel. The hotel got busier on St. Stephens day and had various entertainment on to occupy us. It was a comfortable though unusual stay at this hotel and we recommend it.

This was my boyfriend and I's first time staying at Hotel Port Aventura, and it was brilliant. All staff were very helpful, although it seems to be a common thing in the region not to have ironing boards in rooms? My partner wanted a shirt ironed and was told he would have to pay for it! Not the done thing in Ireland/UK. The room itself was fabulous, massive bed and bathroom, very clean - no complaints at all! and Value for money was amazing, we got 3 nights b & b, along with entrance to theme park on every day of our stay for 350 euros - fantastic value. Guest Services were very helpful, they recommended places to go at night in Salou, and also gave us a timetables of trains to Barcelona when we enquired about it. We dined at Cascada restaurant - extremely expensive but justified as the food is amazing (nicest food I've EVER had) and the staff are so friendly and attentive. We also dined at the Italian located there - much cheaper, staff also very helpful. All in all, we had a great time here and definitely will be back!
