My first visit to this area, my only disappointment was that it was late in the season for lavendar in bloom. The abbey and grounds are beautiful and peaceful. It is rather remote and I had great difficulty finding it, but I arrived at night due to unexpected delays so I will blame it on lack of visibility and fatigue. It was a wonderful stay, but I recommend it for relaxation not a home base for provence activities.
