Hotel Salò du Parc - Salò

Marcia at reception is beautiful! The room was a little disappointing, with some floor tiles missing, but very spacious and a good view of the lake. Location is great. Parking is limited.

The hotel and location were fabulous. The staff was outstanding. One of the members of our party was ill overnight and the staff provided room service and attentativeness, offering to secure a Doctor if we needed one. Of course, the town of Salo is magnificent and the weather was great, all to make a wonderful stay. We had a room on the top floor with a magnificent view up the lake to the mountains. The hotel is in a secluded spot, but less than 3 minuets to the beginning of the commercial area of town. Great hotel and great location

No comment: it was fine !

Best hotel in a lovely town (Saló)

Je m'attendais à un hotel en meilleur état surtout d'aspect extérieur. béton brut sans fleur... il ne vaut pas 4 *** le confort est correct. mais pas de jugement sur les repas. nous n'y avons pas diner. il est cher pour sa catégorie.

On reflection we believe that this hotel overrates its facilites and service. The reception and cleaning staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. in contrast the bar and breakfast serving staff were miserable and gave the clear impression everything was too much trouble. The bedroom felt dark and dismal although the bathroom was 4* quality. The pool area appeared unkempt and the therapy facilites are definately over-stated. We booked for 10 nights and left by agreement after 4. Overall, we felt it was poor value for money in comparison with other 4* hotels around the lake and would not recommend it to anyone.

Quiet, restful, good location - garden (adequate not vast c. 1/3 acre?) plenty of sun beds and pool beside lake. Clean and friendly. 8 day stay. Breakfast (always the same: basic cereal, bread rolls, cheese, ham, hard boiled eggs, yoghurt, fruit, apple sponge) became boring after two days - not consistent with 4 star rating. The cleaner serviced room every day and was excellent. Restaurant in the evening offered reasonable choice and good quality and fair value. Limited facilities beyond sunbeds and pool.

We were travelling with another couple, so booked two rooms for three nights. We were delighted with our rooms at Salo du Parc. The rooms were huge, with wall to wall windows overlooking Lake Garda and the very tempting swimming pool. The breakfast was ordinary, but attractively set up on the terrace overlooking the lake. We had dinner there one night and it was excellent. The location is within walking distance to downtown Salo, and the ferry, which we took to Sirmione. We would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

An excellent hotel in a great location. Our son and his wife also stayed there in May, and were also very pleased with everything. Staff and facilities were all top quality, and we will be back!! Slightly expensive at 150 euros, but overall worth the price.

Ce fut une belle surprise de decouvrir notre chambre, tres spacieuse, et avec vue directe sur le lac, les jardins et la piscine; car l'architecture exterieure de l'hotel est pour le moins surprenante. Nous sommes passes devant sans le voir, le nom de l'hotel est illisible. Tres bon petit dejeuner, avec un personnel tres accueillant.

Hello all - in short our stay at the hotel was EXCELLENT. We from the UK and caught a plane from stanstead to Verona Brescia airport. It cost approx 50 euros to get a cab to the Hotel from here. The hotel is in a n excellent location in Salo.... approx 40 metres away from the start of the main parade. Dont let this put you off.. its at the quiet end of the main parade of shops in Salo. The views and tranquility from our balcony were just bliss. The hotel had 35 rooms of which only 8 were taken. We went ont he weekend of May 15th 2006.. just before the mad rush. Temperatures were perfect. The hotel lies on the edge of the lake where you can sit and just top up your tan or watch people row by, listen to the birds sing or see people go by on their private boats. Travel around the lake is very nearby... the local port isn't cheap and make sure you understand the timetable correctly. Hotel staff were helpful at al times. ONE THING - THEY DONT HAVE ANY IRONS THERE!!!!.. SO TAKE A TRAVEL IRON WITH YOU. We were told that it would take a coupel of days to get our clothes ironed. There is however a dry cleaning shop in a parade of shops located behind the main port in Salo. We are definitley goign back to this hotel - it was so beautiful and green that i proposed to my now Fiance on the edge of the lake at the back of the hotel. Most people search for somewhere perfect.. can yuo believe i found it int he grounds of the hotel. Thats saying something.
