The hotel exceeded our expectations about the quality of the rooms and breakfast (very good cost/benefit). It is well located, 100 meters from the lake, close to everything we need: restaurants, shops, pier and boat trips. It was a good choice and certainly I come back to the hotel in next time. We would like to thank Mauro for the welcome (and the Brazilian girl who served us at breakfast)

Hotel has an excellent breakfast (fresh fruits, dark bread, green tea, natural yoghurt and also for sugar and white wheat lovers all the stuff they can imagine), excellent very helpful staff, nice rooms, nice location and nice price. If you come by ferry: use your GPS or take this advice: the hotel locates in the end of the shopping street (to the west). So walk through the piazza and go left until there is a big clock tower in front of you (few hundred meters). The hotel is on the other side of the street. This info can be found from nowhere. The hotel is clean and nice. The walls are thin and without air conditioning (more expensive rooms) life is not so easy at nights. The staff helps you with everything: they booked us tickets for a gig and ordered a taxi for our return from there. Salo's restaurants has the same menu as anywhere else in Garda lake: I wish they would feed us something else than pizza and pasta with typical sauces. Restaurant called Marinaio (the road down to the lake from the hotel, left side) has a very nice fish dishes. Try fish lasagne: perfect! If you choose this hotel, you will like it, for sure.

Clean room, good position, kind staff, but let me say: horrible room with horrible furniture!! and a wall in front of the window.

Myself and my husband and 2 children aged 10 and 15 had a very enjoyable 3 night stay at Hotel Eden. The hotel was in a very central location just a few minutes walk from the beautiful promenade of the lake. It was also central to bars and restuarants. The rooms were spotlessly clean and we had a lovely balcony. We asked for a quiet room and that's exactly what we got. No problems with noise for sleeping. Breakfast was really good with a wide variety of food to choose from. The staff were really helpful and friendly. One of the staff member (maybe the son) had excellent English and was extremely helpful with travel ideas in the area. We booked the hotel garage for €8 per night which was very reasonable and very handy. Would definitely stay in this hotel again.

We were travelling around the lake staying at different towns based on walks I had found in the area. We had some VERY noisy neighbours staying at the hotel and we asked to be moved at 3 oclock in the morning. The Hotel was very obliging and did their upmost to help by asking the guests to be quite, they didnt so we were given another room. Breakfasts were excellant. The owners were very helpful. The only reason why we wont go back is because we dont want to go to Salo again otherwise we would

When we arrived at the hotel the owners son Mauro was there to meet us. He took us to the twin & triple rooms we had booked for the 5 of us. A minute later he came back and offered us the brand new apartment at the back of the hotel as he thought we might prefer that as we could all be together. it was fabulous. The hotel & the staff were fantastic and made us feel like family. Excellent breakfast too. Only 100 metres to Lake Garda. The beach in Salo is excellent and the lake is superb to swim in.Highly recommended, both the hotel and the resort.

We stayed for one night. Our room was very simple, with old fashion furniture, but clean. Whole the hotel was clean, breakfast was nice, the staff was kind, and the surroundings - fascinating. A real problem was the lack of air-condition and we had to open the window because of the summer time. So it was impossible to sleep - it was very noisy on the street in front - from early in the morning to the late hours in the night. We would stay again in the hotel in case they have a back yard rooms.

Lovely, clean family-run hotel and staff speak several languages. Hotel is in good location in Salo - 5 minutes walk from lakefront, shops, restaurants etc. The staff couldn't have been more helpful - they made recommendations for restaurants, provided public transport timetables, arranged taxis etc. Have recently had air con added to some rooms and have free wi-fi in the reception area. Would definitely stay here if I return to Salo. Excellent quality to price ratio.

It may look like a two star hotel from the outside but the decor and cleanliness inside belies its rating. This is a family run hotel and they take good care of their guests. It is just bed and breakfast but they do it very well. The service is prompt and friendly and they were always willing to give advice on various modes of transport or open early in morning and facilitate transfers to airport etc. Located within a few minutes walk of restaurants, shopping and lake and for people looking for a good base, good service in clean accommodation at a reasonable price this takes some beating. Very pleased overall with this hotel - the location, the clean and modern room, good bathroom and nice breakfast. Extremely good value for money. Very helpful and welcomimg receptionist. A single gripe - I wish I had known I needed to pre-book garage space - all the spaces were taken and we ended up parking 500 metres away - not the best for an overnight stay.

After initial misgivings (directions were inadequate, the hotel location seemed disappointing and the hotel exterior was dingy) we warmed to the very helpful management; clean and perfectly adequate rooms; closeness to Salo's pleasant shopping street; the convenient, inexpensive and secure parking and the general warmth and pleasantness of everyone concerned. This is a low budget old fashioned hotel - visitors with no unrealistic expectations should have a pleasant stay, as we did.

A no-frills, family run hotel. The hotel was in good condition, it was very clean. Breakfast was buffet-style, ample and surprisingly good. No more than 5 mins from the lake/restaurants/cafes, 1-2 mins from shops.

This is a fairly basic family-run hotel. The son, who works in the restaurant, spoke excellent english. His mother, on reception, managed Italian and French. We got by just fine; everyone was very friendly. The rooms were small but very clean. The bathroom was one of the best on our holiday; very clean with a very large and powerful shower. Our room had no view, which disappointed me a little. There are rooms with a view of the lake, but they are about twenty yeards from a church clock which plays "Ave Maria", three times, at 7.00 a.m. we were glad to be in the back! Breakfast was okay - if a little weird. We went down on the first day and were about to sit down at a table, when the waitress asked us for our room number, and then dispatched us to a completely seperate part of the room, away from windows, with tables laid with paper table mats instead of cloth. It soon became apparent that "lepers corner" was reserved for internet bookings, when the hotel was busy. The food was exactly the same, a self service buffet; and we stoked up for the morning before going out. The next morning, we were allowed to sit wherever we liked; so maybe our reaction had been a little more visible than I'd thought. Salo was great. Nice little town; probably the best ice-cream in the whole of Italy (we were only in Italy for two weeks - there may just have been somewhere we missed out!) in a little parlour up one end of town, by the old church. I'd go back just for the ice-cream! The town was handy for getting round Garda, and into the mountains behind. All in all, we really enjoyed our two nights here, and wouldn't hesitate to use the Eden again. "Venere"m when you write these things, suggests that we "tell other travellers about the hotel highlights" - well, it was cheap, and clean. As a place to rest your head and have breakfast, it was just fine. If you planned to live in the hotel, then I'd suggest finding somewhere actually on the lake, and a bit bigger. If, like us, y

Questa è stata la nostra prima prenotazione con Venere.com e siamo rimasti soddisfatti. In Albergo ci siamo trovati molto bene. Camera pulita, buona colazione e tutti erano molto gentili e disponibili. La nostra stanza non dava sulla strada e perciò si stava abbastanza tranquilli. Noi avevamo un ventilatore in stanza (per fortuna!), mentre altri nostri amici, che hanno prenotato direttamente in albergo, hanno sofferto il caldo.

Very nice hotel with excellent personnel. Great breakfast! Extremely hospitable to families with children. Just two very minor points: The elevator is patience-grindingly slow and the parking situation is not really satisfactory - but that's not the fault of the hotel. We'd come back any time.

Rooms and Breakfast were good. The location is infront of a busy traffic circle, but with a room to the side, this wasnt an issue. Also the main shopping district starts right at your feet. The parking garage of the Hotel is very hard to find, so just use the main lot to the East of the hotel.

The hotel is right in the centre of Salo and is very well kept. We had a room on the top floor which meant it had a balcony and a wonderful view of the lake. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning in the room and the noise from the traffic outside. In general very good though.

A very friendly hotel right in the centre of beautiful Salo. Certainly better than the one star it has been rated on most sites and definately worth staying at. The breakfast was excellent and the family atmosphere of the place was great. Try not to get back to the hotel later than about 1130pm as the family is in bed!
