Hotel K - Salerno

It is a nice hotel. We had a problem with our toliet and they moved us to another room - which was fine. The rooms and breakfast were good. It is really too far away from Salerno. If you are going to stay in the region then stay in Amalfi or Sorento. Otherwise stay in Salerno and take the ferry (not bus - windy roads) to Amalfi. The beaches around Salerno are gross!

Nice Hotel, warm welcome, French and English no problem (fortunately, since our Italian is non-existing). Nice breakfast in a very nice room. Very helpful Lady with advice for visiting, and help on internet connection. Only one (minor) negative point: the equipment in our room was dated, and could be renewed. We found only one restaurant in the surroundings - which was not pizzeria, fastfood or chinese -, but this one was good!

Hotel K's desk & breakfast staff were excellent. The Hotel has a large public lounge & breakfast area with internet available. Edwardo's recommendation of Tramps Pub for a fish dinner was great!! A lot of fun with our waiter. Picking out our fish & meal. Food was excellent. We used city bus to get downtown & took taxi back to hotel each day. Went to Pompeii, Sorrento, & Paestum from this hotel in our 2 1/2 day stay.

Employes bad attitude.. the surroundings were bad not a place to eat. I recomend to stay in Sorrento instead of Salerno...

got value for money with parking and breakfast included. Internet available but was not working one day. breakfast was good surrounded by one way streets and not easy to find restaurants in the area but eventually found one. would stay there again for convenience to the amalfi coast

Good signage to find the place, welcoming, room was fine, lobby large and had internet and TV and breakfast area. Very friendly and helpful staff and when we went to leave, we were given two small 'carafes' of Limoncello [sp??] to send us on our way = a very kind thing to do....

for what i payed was a really good deal. breakfast is awesome. if you dont like the cigarrete smell, make sure you book a nonsmoking room because mine smell pretty bad.

Spent 1 night in Salerno to visit Paestum. The best thing about the hotel is probably the breakfast bar, which was excellent. Rooms were clean, but small. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. There are dozens of various stores, bakeries and bars around the hotel, but you might have some trouble finding a restaurant. We walked around for about 30 minutes before accidentally finding one of the best restaurants that we had ever been to: Pizzeria La Giunca. Walking out of the hotel turn left, you'll hit the main street that runs along the coast. Cross it and turn right. Pizzeria La Giunca will be on your left in about 50 meters. Check it, out you won't regret it. One thing to note: the owners/waiters don't speak a word of english.

The Hotel K was fine--nothing to write home about. It does not look like the pictures and the bath towels are paper thin. The breakfast was pretty good. The room was European small--overall I thought it was a little over priced. But fine in the long run.

The Hotel K was very adequate for us. It was hard to find once we got into the city with the signs kind of disappearing before we found it. It had off-street, underground parking which was good. We got there very late and appreciated their 24-hour reception. The breakfast buffet was very good and plentiful. The furnishings in the common area are very nice and the staff friendly and efficient. We stayed there as a base to go to the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii, which worked out well. We had only one problem. We used our credit card in only two places in Salerno - the Hotel K and a small seafront bar/pizza place. We were present each time it was used. Somehow, someone must have copied down our number and as soon as we left the city they started trying to charge large amounts on it. Luckily our credit card company was on the ball and nothing was honored. I hate to give this hotel staff a bad name, but someone either here or at the restaurant was a real problem. We have had to cancel that card. I would not take this chance again. So sorry. Other than that, would probably give a very good recommendation to this property.

Excelente lugar, con muy buena atención y desayuno. el uso de la internet es libre en el lobby, rodeado de una excelente colección de antigüedades. La ubicaciónd el hotel me facilitó mucho la visita a Paestum, un esplendoroso sitio llenos de ruinas griegas y romanas a pocos kilómetros de allí.

We stayed for one day in Salerno. Hotel K was very nice. The staff recommended an excellent seafood restaurant (Sea Garden). Breakfast was very good.

Nice average Hotel.Room was clean, bathroom good. Several Kilometres out of town, so not really near anything of consequence.Staff were welcoming and helpful.We only stayed one night,so difficult to judge closeness to landmarks etc.Very nice lounge area,lovely old furniture etc.Generally would recommend.

Hotel K exceeded our expectations. Only one fault there was no swimming pool or area to sunbathe. The Hotel was like a home from home and we would highly recommend it.

The problem with this hotel was the location, a little far away from the center of the city, though the public transport was quite well.

We were in Salerno for one night, and Hotel K served its purpose as a place to sleep. If we were looking for lush accomodations or a nice place to stay on vacation, it would have been disappointing. But for our purposes, it was fine.

Parking = narrow as in most cases in Italian cities! Photographs create higher expectations! Much too expensive for the service & facilities!

A wonderful hotel. The staff was very courteous and friendly. They offered a very nice breakfast buffet. Everything was just as offered on the website.
