Great location to all transport, train, bus, ferry and also a number of food places and shops. Not noisy at all and the front desk is very helpful and nice. Breakfast is good and has a variety on offer.

visiting my daughter who is studying at Salerno University. Centrally located for all transport(trains, buses & taxi), the port for day trips, eating areas and the beach nearby. All tickets for buses and trains can be bought in advance they do need to be validated at the train station - a machine on the platform, buses on board - good value. Stamps for cards can be bought at some tobaconist. Pizza's are fantastic, seafood and vegetables in abundance.

Excellent staff and excellent location meters away from the train station. Unfortunately my room was very noisy (first floor to the street). Multilingual and willing staff compensated all. Good rates, good breakfast.

Perfect location. On pedestrianised street. Next to rail station and main bus centre. Five minutes from boat to Amalfi and Positano. Staff friendly but not effusive. Breakfast adequate but not a banquet - no plastic ham or cheese, no grapefruit or prunes. Bread and cornetti plentiful, great coffee.

First the good things.... The location is very convenient to the train station. It is situation right on the pedestrian-only Corso Vittorio Emanuele, which is a very popular place for an evening strong and leads right to the center of the Centro Storico (about a 15 min walk). Our double room was very large and air conditioned. The bathroom was clean. Now some not so good things.... The decor of the rooms is very dated, and the furnishings probably haven't been changed in 35 years. Also I found the bed to be very uncomfortable, since it sagged a lot. So if you need a place close to the station for one night, this place is OK. But for a longer stay, I'd look elsewhere.

Excellent location, right in front of the train station, within walking distance from everything worth being seen. The staff provided outstanding service, far beyond their dues. Breakfast is up to 9:30, we showed up at closing time and nobody complained. I would definitely stay there again next time.

We stayed here for only 1 night as a base to visit Paestum, so did not really have to use the services. We chose Plaza as it was right near the train station and the port area for ferry/ buses. We were very happy with the quality of the room and bathroom. Breakfast was included in the rate and was above average. It was certainly a good value for money. However, we could not find a single restaurant near it for the dinner. We had returned very tired from Paestum and hungry but found only coffee bars. Eventually, after walking for almost 15 mins and not finding anything (a pizzeria or two were already shut at 8.30 pm), had to settle for very poor quality takeaway. This is no fault of the hotel, though. Maybe there are places but we were not lucky to find them.

I am satisfied with Hotel Plaza in terms of all of my priority; 1) bathtub 2) quietness 3) WiFi. [WiFi] Unfortunately the WiFi router for guest room area happened to be broken when I was there. However it turns out that the WiFi was still availabe in certain spots of my room (which was on the first floor.) [Quietness] I am a very light sleeper. I was glad I was able to sleep well in Hotel Plaza, much better than when I was staying in the other (four star) hotels. It may be because the room was facing the pedestrian street where you will hear lots of human voice but no car noices. The room's air conditione seems very old. It makes huge noice may be bothersome during summar time. [bathtub] Although this hotel is very old, I found the bathroom clean and relaxing. The bathtub drains relatively fast. Plenty of hot water. Clean big towels. [location] The hotel is right in front of the train station, post office, tourist information office and shopping streets. There are also small shops nearby which sells vegetables & fruit, cheese & beer, tooth paste etc.

Hotel Plaza is just across the street from the train station, three blocks from the sea, and right on the central walking street; very convenient to everything. It is clean and everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was small but comfortable. The hotel offered a bountiful buffet breakfast. My daughter and I loved it and would definitely return.

Everything was OK. The location of the hotel just could not be better: Right next to the railway station, bus station and harbour from where the sight-seeing ships to the Amalfi coast leave. The reception staff were generally helpful and the breakfast was pretty decent for Italy.

Sound hotel, very conveniently close to the station, but not right next door. No nonsense, just right for us arriving tired and late in the day.

Great location for us, we used this hotel because of its easy access to the train/bus station for visiting Sorrento and the Amalfi coast. The information office is across the street. Train noise was surprisingly okay (our room was on the 6th floor and we closed the windows at night).

Excellent location. Across the pedestrian street from the Information Office & on the Plaza where trains & buses wisk you to the Amalfi Coast, Paestum or elsewhere. Pedestrian street great for strolling all the way to the old town. Garage parking very close by.

The big attraction of the Plaza is proximity to the railway station. The area itself - as often around train stations - is not overly attractive. But it is not far from the excellent seaside promenade and walking distance from the attractive old city. A good over-night stop-over for those using the train system.
