Hotel Room Mate Vega - Salamanca

A lovely hotel - a little difficult to find, but that was mainly due to road closures and sat nav not knowing that they were closed. Staff were lovely. Rooms were very clean, quite and spacious and breakfast was excellent. The hotel was very well located just 1 minute from the main town square.

Nice hotel, nice service, excellent location near Plaza Mayor, however quite (we had a rear room).

This was our first visit to Salamanca. We very much enjoyed visiting the city's historic momuments and the lovely mountain scenery in the Sierra de Francia. The Room Mate Vega hotel is small, friendly, very well situated and excellent value for money. Our only problem was being woken during the night, every night, by drunken party-goers (students?) making their way home along the narrow street outside our window.

Enjoyable stay at a very conveniently placed hotel - very handy for the City Centre. Has its own underground parking, chargeable, but you have to check in first before this is accessible.Difficult to manoeuvre - not for large cars - also be prepared to be plunged into darkness - their underground car parking timer needs extending by a few minutes!. That aside, this hotel is highly recommended.

It has been a pleasure in all senses. The room, the breakfast, the staff and the situation: right in the very centre of the city, a two- minute-walk to the beautiful "Plaza Mayor". I've got no doubt at all when I state that I'll go back to "Room Mate Vega" during my next visit to Salamanca and so would you if you happen to choose it when travelling there!!

Bis auf die Geräuschkulisse ein schönes modernes Hotel in super Lage 100 m vom Plaza Mayor entfernt. Die Rezeption war sehr nett und hat auch Sonderwünsche problemlos erfüllt.

A perfectly located hotel, quiet and absolutely lovely. All the staff were more than helpful, the garage was good for us. The price/location ratio was very good. we were pleased.

Unless you have a GPRS device, your chance of arriving at the hotel smoothly is very slim. At some point we hired a taxi and followed it through the one way narrow streets of Salamanca and got to the hotel. There is parking provided in the garage under the hotel, and you can easily take your luggage to your room with a lift. The hotel is situated in the old town and very close to everything. The bulding is very tastefully renovated. The room was not only clean and comfortable but also pleasant. The buffet breakfast was very very good.
