The building is made of stone from Villamayor, an easy-to-carve stone typical of the Salamanca quarry, which takes on a golden colour after exposure to the sunrays.

Fine materials have been used for its construction, such as marble and wood and all with a perfect finish. Furthermore, the bed and bathroom linen are of great quality, produced with great care in fabrics with natural textures.

The four-star Hotel Plaza del Ángel has 23 rooms: 18 double rooms, 3 single rooms and 2 suites, all facing outdoors.

Carlos and María have personally designed the Hotel's every detail, creating a very special atmosphere, complemented by the fact that they manage the hotel themselves, thus giving it a highly personal character with their direct and friendly service.

The hotel's owners, Carlos Ramos and María Ruipérez, have wanted to create a hotel along very simple unpretentious lines but without forgetting the tiniest detail to ensure their guests enjoy their stay as if they were in their own homes.

Hotel Plaza del Ángel guest room double room The furniture in the rooms is made by craftsmen and hand-decorated, designed and produced in fine woods. The bed linen is specially produced with natural fabrics. Both the English-style cretonnes and the eiderdowns are the hotel's own design. All the rooms face outdoors. Their large windows provide natural light, which along with the exquisite decoration, create a unique atmosphere.

In the corridors of each floor of the hotel is a permanent photography exhibition depicting our city by a famous local photographer, who has won several awards for her work. Room booked and confirmed was non-smoking and we could only get a smoking one. Very hot and no air-conditioning avalailable. Noisy room despite the fact we asked for a quiet one. Impossible to pay by Visa card!!!! (apparently oit of order)

Original comment was in error. I confused your hotel with Hotel Parque in Valladolid. The following comment is for Hotel Plaza del Angel in Salamanca: the location is outstanding. I saw many other hotels in Salamanca, but not is as convenient as Hotel Plaza del Angel. Beatrice at the front desk was an "angel", especially helpful and friendly. I would prefer to see that your breakfast is more complete, and perhaps better staffed. The two times that we had breakfast there, there were no coffee cups, coffee was lukewarm, and generally not a good value for the cost. I still would recommend the hotel to friends visiting Salamanca!

Las habitaciones que nos assiganron eran muy pobres en cuanto ha espacio, No habia lugar para mesa ni para moverse. La mesa de la telvisión obstruia la puerta del baño por falta de espacio. Ni una silla para colgar la ropa. El lugar del desayuno igualmente escaso de espacio las mesas de 4 dividias por una tablon para privacidad lo que hacia que fuera agobiante y con poco personal

Very nice hotel with very nice front desk attendant. I would avoid the front rooms though as this is a university town and the partying and revelry went on all night long out in front of the hotel. Very poor sound proofing made it very hard to sleep. But I would stay there again if we could get a room in the back of the hotel. Very convenient to everything in Salamanca, especially the Plaza Mayor.

Plaza de Angel is a cute little hotel in Salamanca with a good proximity to all that Salamanca has to offer. The hotel itself is nice and clean, and the staff was very friendly. Although the room was fairly small (typical in Spain), it has floor to ceiling windows and a very modern bathroom. Breakfast at the attached cafe was good also.

The accommodation was just as described, and the staff were welcoming. However,on both nights that we stayed,the noise level from outside was unnacceptable.The reception staff seemed sursprised at our comments,although they did say nothing could be done.Because of the noise,we would not stay in this hotel again,despite the quality of the hotel itself.
