Hotel Palacio de San Esteban - Salamanca

Excellent position.Food very good.Very comfortable and stylish bedroom

It woiuld be nice to have free internet in the rooms, not only the lobby. The breakfast was favulous ane so was the hotel.

We were very disappointed about the diner. We simply cannot believe this food was coming out of the kitchen of a five star rated hotel. My wife got 2 fried eggs and french fries and I got a dry baked chicken breast with french fries. For the price of approx. 20€ each I find this really shocking. It was obvious that there was no real cook present at all. The wine I ordered (a Rioja reserva) was the only reasonable thing that came out the restaurant although the waitress didn't know how to present it since she putted the cork back on the bottle after opening it ! Really unacceptable and I can only hope that this is not representative for all the AC hotels.

Very nice hotel. Garage small, however. A walk away from the old town so it is an ideal spot.

Very quiet hotel with excellent rooms with free 'soft drink' mini-bar.Easy walking distance to the main square & shops. No bar here though drinks could be waiter served in an interesting if 'monastic'library.Good service.

This is a wonderful hotel, and is an ideal location for visiting on foot the magnificent old town of Salamanca. Our bathroom was luxurious. We really enjoyed our stay. I have just two minor quibbles, regarding the Venere Web site's description of the hotel: it does not state that the price is for the room only, and that breakfast costs extra (though the breakfast is splendid and is well worth the cost). Also the map given is quite useless for finding where the hotel is.

FOOD IN RESTAURANT WAS EXCELLENT BUT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY HELPFUL IF MENU HAD AN ENGLISH TRANSLATION. RECEPTION PRODUCED ONE FOR US AND AFTER THIRD ATTEMPT WE WERE GIVEN ONE THAT MATCHED THE AVAIABLE FOOD. DRAWER SPACE IN ROOM WOULD HAVE BEEN USEFUL. GLASS WASH BASINS AND BATHROOM DOOR WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN MY CHOICE. TOASTER STILL DID NOT WORK AFTER FOUR DAYS. I ALMOST BOUGHT ONE FOR THEM MYSELF. I WOULD HAVE LIKE THE COFFEE POT LEFT ON THE TABLE RATHER THAN WAITRESS HAVING TO KEEP REFILLING MY CUP. BREAKFAST WAS GOOD. ALL IN ALL A GOOD HOTEL IN A LOVELY CITY.

This was lovely hotel that certainly earns it's 5 star rating. A complete surprise that a hotel this fine would be in Salamanca. It was by far the nicest hotel of our 2 week trip to Spain and France. Highly recommended.

I've added the AC hotels to my list of places I look for when traveling

Excellent location for the city attitude of the staff varied from indifferent to quite helpful rooms a little small and breakfast disappointing

AC hotels were new to us but their elite brochure of hotels looks second to none. The rooms were modern and beautifully furnished. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we had stayed for another night!

We were extremely pleased with our accommodation in Salamanca. It was a little difficult to locate at first but very convenient to the features of the old city and sights. Salamanca was the most enjoyable of the locations that we experienced in Spain and this was enhanced by the excellence of the hotel.
