Hotel Artheus Carmelitas - Salamanca

We like to get acquainted with other parts of Spain. The hotel was well located for visiting the city. The hotel was well decorated and furnished and staff were excellent.

Location perfect. Car parking worked well. Lovely hotel!

Excellent relation ship between price and quality we obtained 72€ for a night. Hotel well located 5 minutes away from downtown Employees not very smilling, too bad Nice rooms

6 visiting English teachers met here for the weekend. We found the hotel quite charming. It was easily accessible to the Cathedral, University, Roman Bridge, Plaza Mayor etc. We enjoyed the Continental Breakfast in the Bar....fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee and delicious chocolate croissants. The bar served fabulous tapas with your wine till 3pm also. Found the staff very pleasant. Our room was clean and comfortable. Good value for the money!

We were very pleased overall with the hotel and location. The A/C had not been turned on, so the room was a little warm, but opening the window meant hearing all the outside noise (cars, people, lights). There was also no ice machine on the floors that we could find (I know Spain is different in that respect), but it would have been nice. Otherwise, the staff, the cleanliness, and the appointments in the room, including the comfort of the beds, were excellent.

Very pleasant clean hotel within walking distance of the centre. Very good value with high quality rooms and service.

I was on vacation and visiting my daughter studying abroad at Salamanca University. I stayed four days in Salamanca. I was very upset when I checked out at 7:00 a.m. in the morning to catch a train. The hotel clerk requested cash and when I said I wanted to pay by credit card he tried four different cards from three different banks and none worked. I was told that I would have to use an ATM. I franticly looked for one while my taxi was waiting and charging as the process was taking place. I ran back to the hotel paid in cash, did not receive a receipt, no apology, nor an offer to pay at least a portion of the taxi. I was very uncertain that the transaction was legitimate and immediately called my bank to see if this was a scam by the clerk. I did not appreciate the clerk writing down all my information, which was unnecessary since he already had my credit card information. I had to cancel my cards because of this situation. This was very stressful and I did not feel good about my experience at the hotel. However, I did enjoy the room and would recommend it to anyone, but I would advise them to check out the night before so that there is not problem if they need to leave early. Thank you.

Realy a good place to stay. Hotel is excellent. Salamanca is a very nice town providing a lot to visit. All interesting places arre closed to it. More than a day is required.
