hotel de chevalier is close to la lagune and my daugther was there and had realy a butiful comodation. yes i was in saintes maries de la mer many times. we will not racomand la lagune to any of our friends. the bathroom was absolutely out of discussion. the bedroom was far to small and humid.

We were very disappointed in this facility. We had booked a "family" room, but this only turned out to be an extra roll-away bed added to the already too small room. (You had to climb over the beds to get to the bathroom.)When we complained, the employee managed to find us another room for our daughter and adjusted the rate so we did not have to pay the regular rate for the second room. We were not informed that if we wanted to have dinner there, we would have to let them know by 6:30 p.m. We arrived at 6:50 p.m. because the directions stated "on the Arles road between Arles and Stes. Maries-de-la-Mer. There was no map. Lastly, the place was infested with flies and mosquitoes and there were no screens on any windows. Since they are expected in the Camargue, one would expect a few screens. The walls and ceilings testified to the killing rites necessary in order to get to sleep.
