Hotel La Caravelle - Les Issambres, Sainte-Maxime

A great small hotel; super location for seeing the Cote D'Azur. Martine was lovely and informative regarding what to see and where to go. Enjoyed the breakfast, especially eating outside. Our room for the three of us had an excellent view and we thoroughly enjoyed the balcony. We would definitely stay here again. Great value for the price.

Good place, nice hotel for family,couples,lovers,travellers

This has been our first time @ La Caravelle and I was even more satisfied then expected. The manager is very kind and welcoming, the hotel is located just by the beach on the Corniche road, and the closest villages are pretty near a few minutes by car. Our room was clean and very comfortable on top of a magnificeint view of the sea. We'll definitely be back!

Overall a very good an well located hotel near small and nice beaches. We got a very nice room facing the amazing coastline. The room was clean and quiet and had a very large terass with sunbeds. The breakfast was served with coffe, fresh orange juice, cheese and fruit. The owners of the hotel where very helpful and pleasant. We would defenitly stay here again.

Thanks a lot to Martine and Jean-Louse for their hospitality, services and information they provised us througout our one-week stay in August 2008! The rooms and hotel itself is better than viewed on photos, location is great - 50 metres from small beach, 150 metres from large beach with 3 restaurants. Has private parking which was essential!

Small, cute lodge, unfortunately no restaurant

We only had time for a single-night stay but would have been happy to spend more time at this pleasant, quiet location. Our friendly hosts made us feel very welcome and gave us good information about local (family-friendly) restaurants and places to visit. Thank you!

The greeting we recieved was very warm & welcoming & rooms were very spacious & clean. Views from our room were fabulous (even though it rained). Breakfast was extra but substantial with delicious freshly made croissants daily! The only negative thing was that there was no restaurant in the hotel but there were planty of places to eat in the surrounding area. The owners were very pleasant and had a great sense of humour. A great biker friendly hotel,will definately visit again!

If you travel by car and want to stay away from glamour of Cannes and St. Tropez, but still amidst the attractions of Cote d'Azur, this is the place. The owners were very helpful and gave a lot of advice regarding places to visit (do not miss La Villa des Fleurs restaurant!). Several beaches of all sorts in the vicinity, parking, nice breakfast, really nice sea view... In short, we did not want to leave the hotel...

My husband wanted the 'french summer holiday experience'. This was exactly what he ordered. Our experience was as expected from other guests comments. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and offerred local advice to make sure we had a great day. The breakfast was freshly made each day with squeezed OJ, croissants and bread. Fresh figs, fruit and yoghurt, cheese and ham (No cereal). The beach across the road is small and pebbly but very pleasant first thing in the morning when I swam with no other person or boat in sight, the water clear and still. Superb! Be warned for families the room has a view but no balcony. It is a two rooms (one twin, one double) joined together with a bathroom in the middle and entrance. We had drinks down on the terrace in the evening instead of in our room which was fine. All other rooms have balconies over looking the water. Of the 3 restaurants close by we went both nights to the pizzeria and were happy with the food and service (especially with 2 children 10 & 12). The little mini supermarket had all that was needed for the few days. We rode our bikes for 30km along the coast and stopped for swims and eating. It was absolutely brillant ride with great views and few hills.

We stay 10 days at Caravelle in the first half of August. The general impression is very good, in particular the owners Martine and Jean Louis are very friendly. Other good points are the superb seaview, the very good breakfast in the morning (fresh orange juice, bread, croissant, jam, fruits,...) and the hotel in general. I highly recommend to stay here. The sea is very good and you can visit from here different place into Cote d'Azur region.

We got a nice quiet place overlooking the Meditarranean. Room was small but nice. Bathroom was very small and a bit muggy. The hotel owners were very nice and efficient. Overall I would recommend this Hotel.

We booked for two nights and liked The Caravelle so much we stayed for 4. Friendly and prompt service and free access to the internet. The breakfasts were substantial and delicious with fresh orange juice, freshly boiled eggs, ham and cheese as well as bread and croissants that were baked daily on the premises. La caravelle has a lovely peaceful location about halfway between Cannes and St Tropez. It is very close to three good restaurants and a Minimarketand and right opposite two splendid beaches. One of which has a lifeguard and beds and umbrellas to rent

We really enjoyed our stay at the Caravelle. We did not realize how far it was from San Raphael, but it gave us an oportunity to go to Ste Maxime, which we would not otherwise have done and we really liked it there. Our rooms were extremely large and comfortable with a lovely patio and ocean views. The breakfast (extra) was excellent - yoghurt, rice pudding, eggs as well as the usual juice, coffee, baguettes and croissants and cheese.

Lovely views which changed every time the weather did! Convenient location between towns & a beach within 50m. Really enjoyed our stay, sorry it took so long to leave the feedback!

Accueil tres sympa. plage toute proche mais de qualité insatisfaisante (cailloux, petite) et, sinon, l'hotel est relativement éloigné du centre de la station de ste-maxime. chambres propres sans plus. relativement cher (mais les prix correspondent a la region). donc dans l'ensemble tres bon sejour dans un hotel que je recommande.

We recommend this hotel for the fine landscape and mainly for the very friendly atmosphere and the cordial helpfulness of the staff and the owner.

La Caravelle was a wonderful, friendly experience for us. We were warmly received and assisted. The surroundings were incredible.........lots of beach, restaurants with excellent food within walking distance without the usual riveria crowds.....It was great!
