Hotel Escale Oceania - Saint-Malo

It does what it promises; a no nonsense hotel with very modern facilities. Not plush but very functional. Very welcoming staff.

Lovely hotel with helpful friendly staff. We did not use the restaurant so cannot comment on that but really enjoyed our stay.

Good location, in front of the beach, 15 minutes walking to the fortress (old town). Clean, new, modern decoration, friendly staff, there's a quiet garden for breakfast or even for taking a beer at evening. When arriving do not confuse it with Oceania Hotel (at the same street, beside the fortress). If I ever go to Saint-Malo I will definitely come back to this hotel.

Ten minutes walk from city center, cheaper than hotels in town. Breakfast was a little expensive (ten euros).

Comfortable, modern & clean hotel, 2 steps away from the sea and 15 min. from the city center (nice walk beside the sea), beautifull sea view, nice & spaceous room (for France), clean & modern bathroom. We we very much enjoyed the breakfast in the winter garden. Price / Quality was absolutely reasonable, and we can recommend it, as we will definitely come back again ! Take care of the thievish seagulls - one tried to steal a pack of juice we placed on the windowsill :o)

Very clean and excellent value, very helpful when we returned to collect items we had forgotten!

New and friendly rooms; bathroom really "ocean-like". Basically very quiet location, but the seagulls sometimes made real noise at early morning hours ... (however this might apply for any hotel in this location!) And yes, the location was just perfect; directly at the beach, and still just 25 min. nice walk along the seaside to the old town. Compared to other hotels we stayed at in France a bit expensive, but surely driven by the location. Breakfast buffet was not overly rich assorted, but still ok.

You (venere) need to check your details and update - the hotel is now part of the Oceania chain and is called Oceania Escale - apparently this changed 3 months back and this made finding the hotel a little fraught but otherwise everything was excellent - no hesitation in recommending the hotel and venere

This was a perfect accommodation for us. We were looking for a clean room, within walking distance of several restaurants and within a short driving distance of St. Malo, Mont St. Michele, and Dinan. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room as we have traveled widely in France and they tend to be very small. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day. You cannot beat the value of this hotel in the off season although we have not checked the rates for other times. The hotel looks out at the ocean and is convenient to everything. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on that. We have driven in France so did not have difficulty finding it with the provided map. If you have not driven, you might need better directions. On this trip, this room was the best value we found.

I was extremely happy with accomodation and all services offered at Mascotte Hotel. Venere booking made it easy. Will use Hotel and Venere for future bookings.
