The pictures and the description of this hotel appear to be misleading. It is not quiet; the rooms are hot and noisy. The hot water was patchy and the service poor. When we complained about the lack of hot water and a missing doona cover, the manager was sympathetic but did nothing about it. We left a day early and found better and cheaper accommodation .

You get what you paid for. The pictures in the site are deceiving - The hotel is indeed a good two star hotel with a very gentle couple as owners. The room didn't look like the one in the site. Good for a short stay.

Excellent collect and drop off service from port. Family room excellent, more like a suite with 2 connected rooms. Great breakfast, free for our 2 year old. Fab pasta type restaurant around corner with great authentic french food at good prices, especially the set meals. 30 mins walk from old city along beach front.

Basically, it's a 2 star hotel - it's not dirty and the beds are clean and comfortable. The ensuite toilet is ok but is separate from the bathroom. The breakfasts are nice and typically French. The husband and wife team are excellent and very good at their job. There are no surprises hidden in the hotel bill at the end. However, there is no private beach and no swimming pool (as advertised in the review). The hotel is located very close to the promenade and beach and is about 2.5 miles from the historic Intra Muros end (itself an lovely walk along the prom which we enjoyed every day). Overall, a great holiday which was made more enjoyable by the fabulous food - a pity to return to typical British fare!

L'hotel è carino e in una zona molto tranquilla, a 50 metri dal mare (l'ideale per non sentirne il rumore di notte). La città vecchia si può raggiungere in 30 minuti a piedi. Ampia scelta per la colazione. Scomodo solo il materasso del letto matrimoniale che si affossava verso il centro.

By carFrom road N137: follow direction Saint-Malo Dinard Châteauneud-d'Ille-et-Vilaine Barrage de la France, then Saint-Malo Centre. Enter Saint-Malo and proceed on Avenue Charles de Gaulle. After the bridge, turn left and follow road signs indicating Courtoisville Boulevard Gambetta. At the traffic lights, take Avenue Robert Surcoul, then turn right onto Boulevard Chateaubriand. You will find the Hotel Eden on your right, just before the traffic lights.
