Hotel Ajoncs D'Or - Saint-Malo

It will become better if the breakfast service is improved.

Extremely small room with no space for the luggage. Almost dirty. Serious problems with plumbing. The smallest shower cabin ever existed. Not helpful employees. Breakfast basic. At Easter costed 125 the double room, 15 the garage and 26 euros breakfast for 2 people. Very expensive for what it offers, we are not satisfied with our staying there, we would never recommend it or go back again.

The only thing i can say is if i go back to st malo i will be booking into hotel ajoncs d'or

Good location on the island ,close to shops and restraunts within walking distance from beach and causeway.hotel recomended good restraunt and spoke english. Paid parking close to hotel.

We LOVED this hotel! It was very well located within the walled city. There was lots to do within walking distance with many charming restaurants nearby. I would certainly stay here again. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They would even give us the tide schedule everyday. Overall, it was an excellent trip.

We loved this place and wished we had booked ourselves in for more the one night. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and the room we got was beautifully clean and light. The hotel is well placed for the many attractions of St Malo. The only thing to bear in mind is the cost of parking within the walled town - it isn't cheap, but that's not the hotel's fault. We'll be back!

St. MAlo was not as interesting as La Rochelle, but the hotel was really exceptional. Good service. Friendly. And they recommended a lovely little restaurant. My only problem was with the parking facility, which was dark, very tight and poorly marked.

If you are staying in Saint Malo, look no further. Yves was an excellent host, speaks great English and has excellent recommendations. Be sure to ask how the egg cooker works though!

The room itself was good and cery clean. We were, however, very disappointed about the fact that the offered facilities by venere did not correspond with the offered facilities locally. A rather simple Breakfast was to expensive (14 Euros/person) but we were mainly diapponted that parking was very expensive although Venere explicitly stated in the offer, that PARKING IS FREE! The Hotel staff stated that it is not their fault, if Venere gives wrong information and that in the middle of the winter the parking is indeed free in St. Malo. But both the staff and Venere exactly knew that we did not book in winter but in spring!!! Taken together it is not so much the higher prize itself which is disappointing byut the fact that your company deliberately gives wrong information about prizing and facilities. I want to have reliable information at the time of booking!!! Although the reservation system by Venere seems good and easy to use in general, I will hesitate to use it in the future because I cannot trust the information provided in it and I will also discourage my friends to use it.

We were given a private garage for parking at E13 per day. The garage door handle broke by accident, and our car was inaccessible for 24 hours. The proprietors rudely accused us of breaking the handle, although we had nothing to do with it. We were billed E120 for the repair, but refused to pay. The two proprietors also implied that Americans tend to break everything. We have never experienced such rudeness.

Excellent hotel, very well located. The service provided by the staff was just outstanding -very personal touch-. Great place to stay!

The Hotel, management and the town of St Malo were wonderful. We highly recommend this hotel. While we were on our trip to France, we had to change our reservation from two nights to one. I did not have access to the internet, but was able to send an email to venere.com. Unfortunately, they are only able to reserve rooms, not make any changes to reservations. As they told me in their reply to my change request "We are not a travel agency". In future, I would book directly with the hotel, and not use Venere.com at all.

Lovely hotel. Booked triple room, and had double room, with small single bedded room off this for our daughter. Ideal for us, and better than we were expecting. Good location in St Malo walled city. Only complaint:- rather noisy bathroom folding door.

We had a fantastic welcome. After 18 hours recouperation in St Malo, looked after at Hotel Ajonc d'or we were ready to proceed with out holiday. I would certainly consider visiting again.

Excellent welcome by Mr and Mrs Pellan and their receptionist. Very good at promoting special interests in the region, good restaurants. Very willing to assist clients in any way even defending them against the police regarding parking meters! The overall experience was superb. Just a pity, the owner offered to pass onto a friend a present, which was subsequently lost. This experience marred my stay. Great pity.
