I have never gotten such helpfull service; not even at the Oriental in Bangkok.

We had not visited St Jean de Luz before and this was intended to be a comfortable break whilst driving through France. The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. However, we had chosen a hotel in order to be able to have dinner in the restaurant occasionally without needing to go out every evening. On arrival we discovered that the restaurant did not open in the evening. This meant that we had to face the traffic jam on the road outside the hotel - obviously not the fault of the hotel but we visited in August when the traffic was extremely heavy. Overall, although beautiful and comfortable, in comparison with similar hotels I think, given the location and lack of a restaurant, this hotel is probably more expensive than it should be.

The hotel is very far from downtown. The TV in the room was very old and in bad shape, as well as the remote control, it was broken and had scotch tape to hold the batteries. Also I found 2 cockroachs one in the bathroom and another on the desk. We stayed only one night and we woke up late, so we had to leave the hotel very fast because we had an appointment in Bordeaux and it was late, so when we checked out, the lady at the counter asked me if we would not have breakfast, so I explained about our appointment and that we had to leave as soon as possible, and we felt that the lady did not like that we did not have breakfast there, and that made us feel uncomfortable. is very expensive, no includede the breakfast in the price, the room directly to the principal road to Ascain, very surround, no tranquility,my expectatives and the prices are not correct Never recomended this Hotel.
