Una piccola ristrutturazione dei bagni renderebbe questo Hotel sicuramente migliore. A small restructure of the bathrooms would return this Hotel sure better

Loved the Hotel! It was summer so the windows and shutters were open, so the noise from the street below could be problematic at times especially when trying to sleep. The staff were helpful and the rooms clean. Also did not like the fact that I could not modify my reservation through Venere.com-it was all or nothing- cancel and reschedule all..I would risk losing the entire reservation. I had to adjust my days by calling the hotel directly.

Excellent hotel, with good location for visiting St Jean de Luz. There is a free parking lot close up the hill. The hotel has a bit of the feel of one that has passed its glory days, and things are a bit worn. Still, it's clean and friendly, and we enjoyed our stay.

The hotel was OK but be warned - we were angry to pay 64 euros for a 20 min ride to the airport in a taxi ordered by the hotel after being informed that it would be around 25 euros.

We were pleasently surprised by the atmosphere of the hotel and the room. Lot's of history, no music jammering all day, very pleasent service, good parking possibilities, close to the old centre and close to the beach. Excellent

Excellent location close to beaches, main street, interesting older style hotel with antique features, large renovated room. Large public (pay) car park at rear of hotel with convenient rear access. Overall would recommend quite highly but lack of air conditioning might be an issue in hot weather.

I will recomend this Hotel. It is clean, and also has beautifull furniture. The hotel is placed in the center of the village and very close to the beach. It is a nice place to stay in Saint Jean de Luz.

I stayed with my daughter for one night. The bed was comfortable, the room quiet, clean and well-appointed. The hotel is old but classic and warm. Parking nearby was cheap, right near the pedestrian road and the beach.

Good hotel and the style of the interiors is nice. Unfortunately there is no lift and therefore not recommended for those with heavy luggage.

A nice, comfortable and clean stop-off for a night before heading further up the coast. A 10/15min. walk from the station suited us well - took advice from other reviews and popped over the road for breakfast rather than having it in the hotel. Friendly staff too - rooms on the far side back on to the pelota pitch; can be bit noisy upto 10.30pm in summer.

Good value hotel but quirky! Fantastic (ie almost unreal) collection of furniture in public areas, of which there are plenty. The rooms, bed, etc are all comfortable, but the bathrooms especially need drastic renovation, now! Over-expensive breakfast - better to eat out, in our view. Knowing what we now know, we would return here again.

My wife and I stayed here for one night enroute from Toulouse into Spain. It's a good, convenient place to stay if you're just stopping over in the town for a night, and wish to be near the centre. It's good value for money, but there's nothing special about the place.

My wife and very much enjoyed the hotel and the surrounding area for the first time. The hotel was very quiet and suited us admirably. The breakfast, juice, coffee, roll & croissant we thought were at top price, but without any knowledge of the competition. Pleasantly and competently served.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at this hotel. It is comfortable and well-maintained with friendly staff. One word of warning - breakfast costs extra. I would deffinately recommend this hotel.

We had a very pleasant stay (10 days). Only complaint was traffic noise if window was open - necessary in the heat as there was no air conditioning (not unexpected in a 17th cent. hotel. Traffic noise was due largely to rumble strip cobbling right outside our (2)windows. Other rooms may not be so affected. Other rooms

The hotel is an interesting old building with an impressive reception area. It was very well kept and ideally located in the town.

The cost of the rooms was very reasonable given the central location of the Hotel and the fact it is in an expensive resort. Breakfast was very expensive and best taken elsewhere. All other meals have to be taken outside the Hotel as there are no restaurant facilities at other times. The Hotel did not have a bar area/waiter service in the lounge. the room was kept very clean. However, the shower had broken parts, the bathroom floor had loose and missing floor tiles and the decor was getting old. There is no air conditioning. Common areas were clean and presentable. Very little English is spoken by any of the staff. However they were all friendly and helpful. Outside parking was a major problem as the Hotel does not have its own parking facilities anf the public car park adjacent the Hotel is expensive and full every day. Alternative free parking is available about 5 minutes walk away.

When I booked the room on the internet, I booked a double room with shower (65€) but the hotel phoned me the next day to say there was no such room available and told me there were only double rooms with bath avalaible (76€), so I payed 11 € more than expected and wanted to get a room.
